I hired Courtney Thom from Brown Law for my custody case. Courtney was a great attorney! She got sole custody, full legal and physical custody for my case and is an amazing attorney! She is very professional, respectful, and has an amazing office staff who does the same! I would refer Brown Law and Courtney Thom for anyone who is in need of a great custody attorney!

Courtney is a very realistic human - she does not sugar coat anything. Which, in most cases, is awesome and I am thankful for that. I knew my case would be tough and we had no idea what the outcome would be and she made sure I knew that. Courtney and my ex’s lawyer negotiated so we didn’t even have to have a hearing in front of the judge. We all chose what was best for my daughter and now I get to move my daughter out of state! She is very cut / dry but she knows what she is doing and she does it well.

Started off just fine but as time went on just lost interest or decided she didn't like me. Just started ignoring my need for work and failed to file an important motion. After 30 days of no responses, I had to pay a retainer to another to complete the job with another attorney.

I am so lucky to have found Courtney. She is professional yet I felt like she treated me like a friend. Compassionate about my cause, yet honest about my reality. Having her on my side allowed me to relax and know that things were under control.

When Courtney represented my husband she was very informative and thorough. He faced a felony charge. With Courtney's help these charges were dropped to a misdemeanor. I feel blessed to have had her with us. Thank you lord

Ms. Thom always responded to emails promptly. Her office staff was very polite. After putting off dealing with the issue for years, we were so happy we found Ms. Thom and all our issues and fears were relieved. Our case was won in our favor.

I hired Courtney to represent me in a case against my ex who owed me equity in the marital home (which was spelled out very clearly in the divorce decree.) Her lack of timely responses to questions, court dates, emails, court motions, ended up with me losing my case, and the ex filing chapter 13 bankruptcy so he didn't have to pay me the equity owed to me which was clearly defined by the court system in Midland, that it WAS OWED to me. Another very unsatisfied client!!

I hired Ms. Thom after interviewing 3 attorneys. She acknowledged that I had legitimate concerns when asked if she would 'fight' for me and my child. After I paid her, she wouldn't reply to my calls or emails. I didn't hear from her until 9pm the night before our 1st court appearance, which was the only one she attended. She did not fight for us. Not in any way. Almost as if she was working for the other side. It was very apparent she only wanted my retainer. She did not proceed with our discussed plan and told me it was wrong to even hope for sole custody. Now my child is in a dangerous environment the other 50% of the time. She was a huge detriment to our case. She then sent me an additional bill after she used the retainer to review but not reply to my voice and email messages, which I unjustly paid, just so I didn't have to deal with her again.

I would highly recommend Ms. Thom to resolve your legal issues. Courtney has handled a number of legal matters for me and is always professional and responsive. With both negotiations and arguments before the court Courtney has provided favorable outcomes.

Courtney was very professional starting when I interviewed her to potentially handle my divorce, through the custody hearings, negotiations of property and assets, and finally with settling of the child support. She set realistic expectations up front as to her style of handling my case and eventually delivered more then she promised at the onset. She was always available to me and I would recommend her to anyone contemplating divorce proceedings.
