He's a public defender. He doesn't actually care about helping you out because you're not technically paying him. I met with him twice, and both times he was very curt and unhelpful to the point that I felt like I was just a waste of his time. Both meetings combined lasted about five whole minutes of 'legal counsel' and he encouraged me to lie to the presiding judge to garner sympathy. I feel sorry for anyone who might actually seek out his legal counsel.
