We needed advice on a complex legal problem for our family. Curt represented us, prepared court filings, and negotiated on our behalf. The matter took 3 years to resolve and he was there for us every step of the way. Not only did Curt know the applicable laws, he also advised us on court procedures and local norms for negotiations. Curt and his staff were always very responsive, including some evening phone calls. For our case, he offered fixed fee prices that were fair for the number of hours he spent on our case. As a senior citizen I hired a company in fall of 2019 to do a fall clean up in my yard which is in a subdivision. The estimate was more than double what I had been paying to a couple who had done the work before but had moved. I did authorize the work but when the bill came in November 2019 it was double again the estimate. I questioned the bill and asked for an itemized explanation of the bill, which I never got. But I always pay my bills, so I paid it in December 2019 and heard nothing more for a year. Imagine my shock when a year later in fall 2020 I got another bill from the company saying they had reviewed the original bill and decided I actually owed them an additional $1730. I called them to question the bill and to again request an itemized bill which I never received. They did eventually acknowledge that I did not actually owe an additional $1730 but only an additional $1000. I received 2 bills in fall of 2019 and another 2 in fall of 2020. Each one had a different amount and they did not make sense. The total of what I paid and the additional bills would have been over $4000 for the same work for which I had paid $500 in previous years to someone else. While waiting for the itemized bill, instead, I received a bill from a collection agency. By then, I was beside myself with worry and did not know where to turn. I talked to a friend whose brother-in-law is a retired attorney in the area and they recommended the Zaleski Law Firm. I made a call and spoke to Curtis Zaleski on the phone the next day. He was friendly and reassuring and indicated he could help the situation. It was a Friday and we made an appointment for me to bring the paperwork in the following week. Again, he was very professional and after reviewing the bills I had received was confident he could resolve the problem. It took him one week to have the charges removed by the company and the collection agency. And his fee was extremely reasonable. I would go to him again for any legal services I might need and would certainly recommend him to anyone who may need legal assistance. Everyone in his office was friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated his kindness and the promptness with which my issue was handled. The peace of mind that he has given me is immeasurable.
