I was a client at Stephens Family Law for my divorce case in 2018 thru 2019. Attorney Christine was really on top of my case from every angle. I was impressed how she kept up with all my case communication and dates. She noted everything I told her, put it in my case file and presented it to the referee/judge as she saw fit. She kept me informed in writing of my case status; I would get written letters from her about my case and what the next steps would be. She kept up with all my court dates and contacted me to remind me of any hearing I had coming up. She defended me strongly. I remember one time when she pressured my ex’s attorney to cancel his motion for interim child support (because I was paying all household expenses). In court she spoke up to defend me against my ex’s allegations. I remember in one meeting at the Friend of Court when she silenced my ex’s attorney telling him: “I’m still talking”, I was happy. For the mediation she showed up ready with all supporting documents I had submitted to her and presented those documents. I should also mention that Christine runs her own firm; she is the primary attorney who handled my case (this is as opposed to some law firm with a pool of attorneys that shoves your case to some attorney that you know nothing about). She cared about her firm’s performance and reputation, thus she earnestly handled her cases. At the end, she put stipulations in my divorce judgment that really worked out to my advantage in the long run (e.g. kids schooling, parenting, exchanges, and child support). Christine is an excellent conscientious attorney. I strongly recommend her.
