I had a positive experience with VA Disability Group, LLC. My attorney, Spencer Jolicoeur, far exceeded my expectations. He handled my complicated case expeditiously while keeping me well-informed throughout the appeal process. Mr. Jolicouer achieved the most favorable result for my claim. Brett was the attorney working on my case and he was incredibly helpful and understanding. From when we first began working together to the completion of my case was about 7 months, throughout this time I constantly received timely and relevant case updates and had several lengthy phone calls with Brett where he kept me in the loop and helped explain things in terms I could understand. The team at VA Disability Group is very knowledgeable and understands the way the VA works. Brett combed through my service, private, and VA medical history to identify places where there was potential issues and helped me understand why my claims were not successful. I am at a loss for words in regards to how grateful I am for Brett and VA Disability Group. Beyond their legal help and expertise it was amazing just to feel heard and to feel like someone is finally on your side with the VA. I cannot recommend them enough for any veteran who feels hung out to dry by the VA system.

For an organization that was established to aid and help veterans, the VA has historically done a great job discouraging vets to file claims by convoluting the claims process, leaving thousands of veterans anxiously waiting for correspondence that never comes, just to end up lost in a queue. Working with VA Disability Group, and Attorney Brien Brockway, was an absolute pleasure from the start. Each phase of the claims process was explained in depth, and Mr. Brockway had made himself readily available to answer any and all questions I had along the way. I contacted Mr. Brockway in hopes to have a proper “re-rating” of previous conditions rated by the VA in 2017. Not only did he successfully aid me in achieving an increased rating, but his expertise also allowed me to maximize the potential claim for my current circumstances through filing new claims I did not know I was eligible for. The process with the VA is a long and winding road. Sometimes little to no news throughout the process. Connecting with Attorney Derek Dee was the best choice for my claim. I’m a Vietnam veteran with a service related injury. I first filed for compensation in the early 1970s and was denied. After many years and as my injury got worse I went to the VA again in 2010 and they took an MRI of my injury and told me I had a 10% disability. I was very disappointed with this because I knew my injury was much worse. I finally hired an attorney who specialized in workman’s compensation. After working with him for several years and only able to raise my rating to 20% I reached out to Brett Burke at VA Disability Group in March of 2021 Brett was very encouraging and began delving into my case. Right away he got the VA to award several thousand dollars in back pay because of mistakes they had made. Brett and his team worked on my case, kept me up to date, advised me on how to approach C&P exams, and in less than one year’s time the VA awarded me 100% permanent and total disability, collecting tens of thousands of dollars in back pay in the process. He is now working on taking my case back to when I originally filed in the early 70s to see if there is a possibility for a CUE (Clear & Unmistakable Error) claim. The US Department of Veteran Affairs, VA Disability & Compensation process has been a very bad experience for me. When I first filed a VA Disability claim, the VA intentionally left out my Military Medical Records, that would have supported my claim. I had to request my Medical Records Four (4) times. When I finally received My Military Service Records, they still left out the injury that I was seeking VA Disability for. I filed my Appeal and tried obtaining representation from many VA Accredited Attorney's, however because I was currently working and the fact that the VA intentionally left out any or all of my Ship's medical records, they all refused to help me. Note: I realized most Attorneys that I submitted online consultations only want to represent the "non-working", total disability 100%, candidate Veteran) I had a VA Hearing with an VA Appeals Judge in less than 1 month, another Law Firm who said they would represent me, backed out at the last minute. I was really desperate, and I was even going to represent myself, when I reached out to "VA Disability Group" and spoke with Attorney Derek Dee. Derek was very genuine and concerned about my situation and case, even though he saw a very big challenge and an "Uphill battle", he decided to take my case "Thank God". Derek prepared for my case and we both had a Video Conference with the VA Judge (Who was a very fair and understanding Judge). After testifying to my injuries, the fact that the VA intentionally left out my Military Service Records (Exculpatory Evidence), and my Buddy Statements, the Judge, granted my case and after my Compensation exam, the Judge, Granted Service Connection for my injuries. Derek and his hard-working staff did a thorough evaluation of my newly received Military Service Records (From the 4th Request) and private medical records, and we filed new disability claims. I have recently been granted 70% service connection and filing the necessary Appeals for the disabilities the VA Rater denied. Thanks Derek and VA Disability Group, PLLC.

Had the pleasure to work with Attorney Brien Brockway at the VA Disability Group. His knowledge and expertise led to me receiving a 100% permanent and total rating. I firmly believe I could not have done this without him as I was mentally and physically torn down from trying to do everything myself. Additionally, I thought working with an out of state firm would be difficult, when in fact, it was just the opposite. After coming home from the gulf war things just were not right with me physical and mentally. But life goes on then in 2018 I was informed about how to file a claim against the VA for problems from the war. The same year I received 10% disability due to my hearing loss. In late 2019 I was introduced to Casey Walker from the VA Disability Group PLLC. They were great from step one till now. They informed me of what was going on were I stand and were we are going. I went from 10% to 60% all due to Mr. Walker and the firm backing me up. I just would like to say is if you are reading this and you need help call this group you will not be disappointed.
