I got an OWI in Troy Michigan and had refused the sobriety tests. I was concerned that this would affect my job or anything else professionally because this was my first time having any run-ins with the law. Derrick treated this like it was no problem and he was optimistic about the result he could get me but also made it clear that he couldn’t guarantee anything because he didn’t want to mislead me. He took it very seriously but with confidence and a set plan to approach my case. I got a GREAT outcome and I’m so grateful I found Derrick as my attorney!

Where do I even begin. Derrick E. George is not just a fantastic lawyer, he is also a top notch honest man. In December of 2017 I had put myself in a very tight spot. I was arrested for a super drunk O.W.I. Now understand, this isn't just in the .2s or the high .2s. I am talking that I was the highest B.A.C that he has ever seen in his entire career as a lawyer (doing this for as long as he has, with all the experience) that was a HUGE and I mean HUGE slap in the face on my part. To top it off, I was going to be sentenced by one of the toughest, none heart warming, appropriatly aggressive judges in one of the toughest courts in Oakland County. To say the least I knew I had some serious consequences coming. However Derrick remained calm, collective, professional and held a strong passion when he took me in as a client. Now he did not sugar coat it, make any promises or make any action or statement that wasn't true. He worked with me all the way through the 5 month procedure. He made me build a portfolio so strong to make sure that I had the best chance of showing how determined I was to be sober and never have this happen again. He answered questions, checked in with me, did everything in his power to make me look great. My case lasted as long from December 8th 2017 to may 3rd 2018. I was segguested to serve jail time regardless of my progress and work put it in by my Investigation meeting. When at my sentencing he said he doesn't make miracles happen and to make the best of the outcome. I honestly would have been happy with any sentence I was given, knowing Derrick did the best he could do. DERRICK MADE A MIRACLE HAPPEN! I got off on probation for 12 months supervision, random tests and all. NO JAIL TIME AT ALL!!! I get my lisence back, keep my job live life like normal while doing what needs to be done for probation. He called shortly after my sentencing and said he will be in touch with me and still work with me while I do my probation. If anybody and I mean anybody needs anything you need to have Derrick E. George be your attorney. I don't think he knows what bad work ethic even is lol. Thank you Derrick. My life has been benefited greatly with you fighting by my side. I recommend anybody to him. I do not write many reviews , but when I do It is because it merits special attention. Derrick E George is an excellent lawyer . He is very professional . He was able to get the best results. I would recommend Derrick to friends and family.

Derrick and his team worked very hard for me and always encouraged a high hopes mentality. You can feel bad but don't mope about your situation, change it, they made my situation much more bearable than had I been without an attorney.

A close friend was charged with an OWI misdemeanor out of Bloomfield Hills and needed SOLID representation. He was a good student and held a normal job. He hired Derrick to save his professional and educational trajectory and status. Derrick George represented him out of the 48th District Court, going before one of the toughest judges and precincts in the state when it comes to this type of offense. Derrick was able to deal with case under heavy scrutiny from the judge and mitigated the outcome to what the potential could have been at its worst-case scenario. My friend said he is calm, methodical and knowledgeable and was available at any time of day or night for him. I would recommend and call Derrick if myself or anyone of my family or closest friends were to succumb to a similar situation.

I came to mr. George during a very high-anxiety time. I had a multiple-count marijuana and DUI charges (3 misdemeanors) that could have very well ended up in my loss of license-which, as a working professional, i can't afford to lose. The DUI charge was for a super-drunk BAC and they didn't include the other two traffic charges. My situation didn't look good. Mr. George knew exactly what to do, all while treating me with dignity and respect. He ended up getting all counts dismissed, and I ended up with 1 civil infraction! This was beyond what I could've hoped for, and mr. George have me very realistic expectations as to the outcome, but still fought for above and beyond what I assumed would be the outcome, and he did it with confidence, and win for me! This is my attorney for life! If there is an attorney of the year award, he's got my vote

If you are looking for legal help look no further than Derrick George. He is hands down THE BEST lawyer who will fight for you. My husband and I had been going through lawsuits from a slum lord but Mr George stopped all of that and even got us a satisfied judgement. We are so grateful for his help! The relief we feel from the satisfied judgements is priceless.

I hired Mr. George and he and his staff did a wonderful job on my case I asked for a mircle and they pulled it off. Mr. George pulled off a miracle by reducing my Charge from a BAC of .17 and he reduced the High Misdemeanor to a Civil Infraction of Careless Driving! No other attorney thought that would happen. It was a miracle we met because I am a truck driver and losing my license would have derailed my career to earn money to support my family of 10. Hats off to Mr George and fantastic staff. Thank you!!
