I enrolled with W Tax Group after being with a different company for back taxes owed to state and federal. After 6 months with previous company nothing was done. However after enrolling with W Tax after only a few months my state taxes are resolved. Still working on federal but should be done soon. Steve picks up the phone every time I call and Auggie does great work with the tax authorities. Steve and Auggie have definitely taken a little stress off my shoulders. Would definitely recommend this tax firm.

Had an amazing experience with the W Tax group. Owed over 16,000$ in taxes and got it reduced to 2,100$. Everyone I worked with was very and I mean very quick to respond to emails and or text messages. How's over $46,000 reduced to a few hundred in filing fees sound? The state of California claimed I owed over $46,000 in back taxes and (still accruing) penalties and was about to seize what meager savings I had. I knew this could not be true as I live, basically, on disability. So, I checked the reviews, comments, and ratings of several tax help groups and used that research to select 4 to talk to regarding my problem. Of those 4, The W Tax Group, represented by Steve Hook, was an easy choice to make. There are several reasons for this. 1. He was the only one who did not try high pressure, "sign with us now or your screwed", tactics. In fact, when I told him I was talking with other firms he encouraged me to do so. 2. He explained the steps his firm would take in terms that were easily understood; no "lawyer language" with each word needing its' own three page explanation. 3. He worked with me on pricing when I told him about the other firm's price structures. He matched or bettered every other offer when he could and then gave me discounts for being a veteran and for paying in full instead of using a payment plan. 4. He was very good at keeping me informed of the progress on my case and, when I had questions, returning calls/texts. The end result was I had to pay a few hundred dollars in filing fees; with all other back taxes, fines, and penalties thrown out. Note that the State of California never explained why I had to pay these filing fees but insisted I pay them; the State has to win something I give very high marks to Steve and The W Tax Group for the help and would not hesitate to call them for help in the future.
