I have no idea where to start. I went to GoodmanAcker when I was hurt in an auto accident. Not only did I receive personalized care, I got results! I was so thankful for Sadie Norton for being so supportive in my case. She made me feel she came to work just for me. Gerald Acker was very kind even while going to court for cases much larger than my own, he still took time to reach out when I had concerns. I have referred friends to the firm and they are just as happy about the service as I am. These are my attorneys for LIFE!

To be fair, the first meeting at Goodman Acker was such a relief for my family. The staff took their time and spoke with us for well over an hour. They told us how confident they felt and thanked us for such thourough record keeping. But, what followed was months of no updates. No word at all. I was getting notices in the mail about our estate that was going to be closed and I was leaving messages just to be told everything is fine and there's plenty of time. Many months in, our lawyer told us he was having a hard time finding medical experts and might have to find a different way to pursue this. Within a couple of weeks, were promptly dropped and I was scolded for not telling him that an estate had been opened back when my grandfather was injured and that our time had run out. This was shocking after I tried to inform them of paperwork coming in from the county as soon as I got the letters. Disappointing doesn't cover it. My grandmother lost all hope. We were unbelievably fortunate to find another lawyer willing to pursue a much smaller suit for breach of contract - that we won - but all parties agreed that it should have been medical malpractice. It's still hard to swallow. Nothing would have eased my grandmother's heart more than justice.

Barry Goodman and Laurie Kies has taken such good care of my mom and the family that takes care her. The car insurance company is constantly trying to reduce benefits for my mother's care despite the debilitating injuries she has suffered from a car accident. Barry and Laurie help to keep the attendant care money coming so we can concentrate on taking care of our mom. This includes coordinating care from several doctors and specialists, set up and monitoring the many medications she takes, monitoring side affects and trying to keep her mentally and physically active.
