I was lucky to find Attorney Larry Maitland at Goodman Acker. He and his associate JoAnne Dontje were always available to help at my request. They were confident in their ability to win my case and kept in touch with me throughout the whole process. After winning my case they contacted me to let me know I can still count on them. I'am so unhappy with the services I received from your law firm. At first I wasn't going to make a statement about it but Ive been so upset I just wanted to say this. I've waited for 2 yrs only to be denied my SSDI and SSI benefits due to your lawyers misrepresentation I felt like I was let down after waiting 2 yrs to get a hearing when I walked into that office and spoke with your intake worker he sounded so convincing with a statement we don't take cases unless we win lmao well someone should have told Larry that .For starters he was late for the hearing we only had 5 to 10 mins to discuss pre court formality's I was never informed that this was a informal hearing and I came into the courtroom dressed better then the lawyer. And the whole time I never heard him argue my case at all he asked 3 to 4 questions at the most but I stand corrected if so. When we walked into the hearing he informed me that there may be a problem with my onsat date which I felt I should have been told that prior to entering a court room I could go on and on about this lawyer but I wont but what I will say is it seems to me that this lawyer has not looked at my case before the min we walked into court other then a telephone call months before we entered court I for one was not ready and he wasn't either showing up late maybe 30 mins,But now thats all under the bridge now and I'm back at square one and to cap that off I was told by your disability lawyer that I couldn't refile another ssdi ssi case with SSA until 60 days has lapsed after the appeals time limit has expired for which I would receive a call from him to assist me in Jan to refile he's wrong again because I talked to a Rep at the SSA office and she stated that once I received an unfavorable decision I could refile immediately so I would like to thank you for your time in helping me with this matter and everything your firm has done but I came up with the short end of the stick from Goodman and acker I will never recommend anyone to your firm for service if this is the way your attorneys do business signed and unhappy customer and I will be reposting this letter along with some other comments of mind on my FB page for my friends to circulated to there friend base.S/N I called your law office 4 to 5 time straight never to get a call back but your receptionist stated oh I have been trying to contact you for sometime now and no one never answers the phone lol what a joke, I've been here at this house for 2 yrs during business hrs waiting on a connect from you lawyers which I have only talked too twice at the most so is this the way your firm works ? I wich I would have known for I wouldn't have wasted your time or mines and another thing if my lawyer represents me why is he in the offices with the judge and the other court personal after my hearing was over with the door closed what was they talking about ? was about me if your representing me I'am I entitled to what that conversation was about.

I wish there were 10 stars that I could give to Goodman Acker !!! Thanks to Larry Maitland II, my first experience at needing legal help was a cake-walk !!! (I was somewhat reticent as I had only heard jokes about lawyers and sharks and bottom-feeders, etc.) I had never needed legal assistance. When life gets tough and you need legal representation, the only place I will ever go is to Goodman Acker. Larry is a polished professional !!! Brilliant, compassionate, intuitive ... the accolades could go on and on. I will never be reluctant again to reach out for help.
