Derek was great! Unfortunately Wayne county FOC is so slow, but derek handled everything as timely as possible and the judge ended up ruling in our favor! I'll forever be grateful for him and I highly recommend his services!

In Michigan, men are painted as bad guys, whether it be in divorce court or friend of the court. In my particular case, I was calling divorce lawyers left and right about the "rare" filings for uncontested divorce. Almost every lawyer I called, rushed me through my synopsis, wanted outlandish fees for consultation, and wanting to charge me double the rate they would a woman asking for help. Then I was blessed to find Mitten Law Firm, lawyer that helped me, Derek Jacques, Esq. I conveyed what type of divorce I wanted and why, and through active listening, Mr. Jacques understood my perspective and give me his rate. The going rate for my type of divorce by law, in Michigan, is $1500, not 4500-7000K which other lawyers were trying to charge me. I received my court date; it was done virtually and took less then 10 minutes it felt like. I can't say it enough but thank you Mitten Law firm and if you're reading this, may you be man or woman, give this Law Firm a call in your time of need.

By far the worst place! All they cared about was taking my money. Did not advocate for me in court, notified me of court the day before or I notified them first, unorganized , claims to do a lot but did nothing for me during a custody battle and divorce! Derek was never available, I spoke with his receptionist more than I spoke with him. Twice he did not show up to court because he felt my case wasn’t moving fast enough for him but he did take my money
