Shimek law firm has been extremely helpful to my case and not only very polite but Kory and everyone in the office has treated me like family! I was referred to Kory by a family member and I’m so happy I made him to be my legal aid! He was very up front with the cost of the process and explained that it would be a long haul for my particular case. I have referred others to Shimek law firm and will continue to do so! I was very disappointed in the way Kory conducted business. I felt I was overcharged. This was so unnecessary on his part. I needed a lawyer to handle a very simple divorce. My wife and I had no kids, we were not fighting over anything, and our property was already amicably divided. I told Kory all of this in the beginning. I was hoping to get this done for under $1000. Kory said it should not be a problem to do it for $1000... No he didn't promise anything. He is a lawyer. He handled my divorce. There were no surprises and nothing needed to be changed or disputed along the way. I am obviously no lawyer, but I don't know how it could have went any easier than it did. When it was all over I was told that I owed another $200. I went to Kory to discuss this, and he knocked $50 off of the $200. When he could see that I was unimpressed, he told me it was "just business". The exact dollar amount over $1000 isn't the big deal. The big deal is that it should not have been anything over that. If he didn't think it was possible for him to do a divorce for that price, he shouldn't have told me that in the beginning. I would have taken my business down the street. He made plenty of money off of this divorce for what I can not imagine was a great deal of work. If this was my business, I would not treat people like this.

I submitted an inquiry for general information via Haskell Law Firm’s website, and I received a very timely e-mail reply from Attorney & Owner Kory K. Shimek. From there an initial, no-obligation and free consultation was arranged - one in which Kory agreeably stayed late in his office for, on a Friday evening, just so that he could accommodate the conflicting work schedules among my family. And the hourly rate quoted during the meeting was a very fair price for the services we had been discussing. During the consultation as well as all throughout the case, Kory was polished and professional in conduct and presentation. I found him to be impressive and simultaneously extremely personable, friendly, and likable. From start to finish Kory was providing or obtaining answers for me so that I remained apprised of any and all updates. His response time to e-mail correspondence and / or phone calls continued to be excellent, and his efficiency, professionalism, and kindness remained consistent. I respected that the billing was itemized and that it was provided to me at regular intervals – allowing me to always be aware of what efforts and expenses had been made on my behalf and what my financial obligations were for this skilled assistance. The day of our court hearing Kory was early. We had ample time, had we needed it, to ask any last minute questions. Subsequent to the hearing Kory explained what would follow, how long it would take, and when to expect him to make contact with us again so we could finalize any remaining details. Personally, I couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend Kory K. Shimek for his knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail, pricing, timeliness, follow-up, flexibility, and kindness. It was an honor and a privilege to do business with such a hard-working gentleman. I will confidently trust his capabilities again with any of my legal needs and recommend him to family and friends. I am so HAPPY.... so TRULY BLESSES to have Haskell Law Firm!!! They saved me and My Kids from a nightmare. The most painful, awful divorce. They were patient, more than patient and deeply kind, always. They were ALSO quite affordable and flexible. Salt of the earth people.... please PLEASE don't make a mistake and use someone else.

Haskell Law is absolutely incredible! Korey and Lora both turned a dreading process into complete relief. Lora was amazing at my custody hearing, I literally couldn't have done it without her. She knew exactly how to calm my nervous and represented me so professionally. I would absolutely recommend this office for anyone! If ever needed again, Haskell is the only way I'd ever go. Kory is an excellent attorney and his staff have always been pleasant and fair with me. Kory was always on top of the situation and provided what I feel like was excellent legal advice at all times. My experience with Haskell law was great. They went above and beyond for me. They are affordable and extremely friendly. They don't look at you like a person and not just another payday. I will suggest both Lora and Kory to everyone in need of an attorney.

What a joke,1st consultantion sounded promising with the owner, since I knew it was going to be a nasty seperation.. It was passed off to very inexperienced attorney that was fumbling thru court orders in front of a judge.. Very unprepared, showed up late several times..never returned phone calls, . Dont waste your money... Go somewhere else.
