I had a very positive experience with Ryann and everyone else I came into contact with at Miller Embury. After the trauma of the auto accident, they were very kind and professional. They are very experienced and were able to obtain a better result and knew to ask for things I didn't even know were available and typical. They were always timely and responsive and kept an eye on my case throughout the process. I highly recommend this firm.

Where do I start? When I contacted Ryann from Miller Embury, I called him to take my case against a former employer, this was due to a work injury and Worker’s Compensation dispute. Since day one, Ryann was always, kind, and understanding to my situation. He was very clear, and informative and kept me up-to-date on my case, and how it was progressing. Throughout my case just like any other case, I’m sure there was a lot of ups and downs, but no matter how hard the case got Ryann never gave up on fighting to make sure I won my case. I can gladly say that after 2.5 years of fighting tooth and nail with the defense attorney, Ryann WON my case. If anyone knew how hard this case was, you would understand that this WIN was not easy at all. I can’t express enough to how good of a job Ryann did and how much a fighter RYANN is!! So DO NOT make a mistake by going somewhere else, contact Ryann to HELP YOU!! you won’t regret it!!
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RYANN FROM MILLER EMBURY!!

Working with Nate, and the staff, has been wonderful. This isn't some transactional relationship... they actually care. I was impressed with their willingness to hear our story and what happened (car accident), and Nate designed a plan to help our family.
I found it comforting when I realized I'm not a transaction, I'm a partner, and they truly care about my family. Having Nate in our corner has provided me a lot of comfort and peace of mind – he's my teammate and I know he has my bad.

Unbelievable firm! Miller treated me as if he was giving advice to a childhood friend. He’s the attorney I hope I never need, but the one I’m glad I have.

First, let me set the stage. I am a college educated, former teacher, turned blue-collar worker that started at the bottom and worked his way up through the company. I am not a fan of the Sue Happy culture that we live in and felt bad about trying to get Worker’s compensation I eventually worked my way up into sales, but due to Covid and a lack of workers, I decided to install water treatment equipment that I had sold at Pure Water Works. After approximately four or five months of selling and installing systems I bit off more than I could chew. I attempted to install a system that would typically have two people to do the job as the unit is 250 pounds or more. In order to get the system into the house, I had to pull it up five steps, and then take it down into the basement approximately 15 steps on an old set of stairs with a wall right at the bottom. On the last step, the stringer cracked and the unit lurched forward. I felt some sharp pain in my back but as I have been living with chronic pain for 15 years, I figured I just pulled a muscle and continued on my day. About two or three days later I started noticing that my pain level had increased consistently and I was having problems with every day tasks. I ended up losing control of bladder function and was rushed to the hospital via ambulance and required emergency spinal surgery to remove the herniated spinal discs between L1 and L3. After realizing the cause of this injury, I immediately contacted my employer and their Workmen’s Comp. insurance company. Upon reaching out to the insurance company, they stated that they believed the injury was a non-vocational injury and tried to blame it on being a dad saying that the injury must’ve occurred while playing with my three year old daughter and my six month old son. The Workmen’s Comp. caseworker that I was given said that they have seen injuries like this before in situations like mine, and said that there was no way that insurance would cover it and advised against getting a lawyer as it would be a waste of time and money.
THIS IS WHERE NATE AND HIS TEAM become the HERO’s
After meeting with Nate and explaining the entire situation he told me that he believed that their was a case and that he would do everything in his power to make sure that my family and I got what we deserved. I was amazed by his professionalism and his drive to make sure no stone was left unturned. Within the first week he made the 2 1/2 hour drive to the house that I was doing the installation at when I hurt my back. He interviewed the homeowner Took pictures of the stairs and documented everything for this case. As a standard width, most Workmen’s Comp. cases it was a very long drawn out process. Throughout this process, Nate and his team made sure that if any debt collectors called me trying to collect payment on medical bills associated with my injury were informed of the situation and were directed to no longer call me. Approximately 18 months from the date of my injury I received my check in the mail for the compensation. Even now his team is working to get everything paid with Doctors, insurance, and physical therapy.
I could never recommend anyone more highly than Nathan Miller and his team.

Nate was an amazing advocate for our children. The communication, service and empathy to our situation was outstanding. We were able to secure exactly the outcome we wanted from the defendant and the insurance companies involved. We would highly recommend him to anyone facing personal injury claims!

After a head on collision that resulted in a serious injury to my husband, I knew I needed an attorney. I found one local practice that had more reviews than any other and still had a 5 star rating. It did not take long to realize I had the right one. Ryann went to work on our case immediately. He covered everything imaginable and always made sure we were up to date on the progress of our case. The receptionist, (really, she is so much more)is one of the kindest people you could meet. Ryann really cares about the folks he represents. He is as compassionate as he is smart!
If you need help through any personal injury, you might as well go to the best Northern Michigan has to offer. Nathan and Ryann will not disappoint.

We got in touch with Ryann Embury after searching Google for a personal injury firm. Over many conversations we decided to move forward with a claim. Throughout the process, Ryann communicated weekly with us. Any questions we had were answered quickly. I’ve recommended this firm to others because of their fairness and communications while coming to a equitable resolution.
