We’ve had the pleasure of working with Attorney Matthew Rosenthal for two separate but related matters. It started with regards to an issue for my husband, which was handled so well we decided to retain him for my family court matter as well. Definitely recommended, especially for any multilayered family court type cases.

You should know that this law firm is a crook. They blew through my retainer long before we ever even went to court. My wife (whom is the other party) informed me that we had court coming up in 2 weeks on the 16th which was news to me considering the law firm that I hired for $3500.00 didn't inform me of any impending court dates. I checked the court website to confirm that we indeed had court coming up and then reached out to Goldman and associates to confirm the date and time, seeing as how they didn't reach out to me about it. My attorney reached out to me to tell me that he was just as surprised as me that he had not heard anything about court but that he had confirmed as well that we did in fact have court the 16th (I was charged $112.50 for this interaction). A few days later I get billed just over $472.00 for them confirming my court date for me! I tried getting in contact with management for over 2 weeks to no avail, before I drove an hour to their firm to try and speak to someone in person. They tried to turn me away at the desk saying that there was no one available to talk to me at the moment and would take a message and have someone call me. I explained that I've been trying to get a hold of someone by phone for weeks and that it took me over an hour to get here so that I would be happy to wait an hour or two for someone to become available. After quite some time in the waiting room Mr. Goldman had someone bring me to his office where he very sleasily tried to dance around with words and tell me that I was wrong and that I should be on the hook for that almost $500.00 before completely withdrawing from my case and keeping all of my retainer money. Now I'm left high and dry with no idea what to do next. The only thing left to do now is to try and save other people from making the same mistake that I did with this firm. I will be requesting an investigation by the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission as well as file an affidavit with small claims court to try and get some of my money back. I encourage you to seek representation elsewhere and not to be taken advantage of by this law firm.
