I solicited Morgan McAtamney’s services to file an objection regarding my most recent child support modification. During the filing process the modification letter was sent to Macomb County 16th Judicial Circuit court instead of the Friend of the Court. This error resulted in missing 21 day window allotted to file an objection. This mistake was catastrophic. Judge Rancilio refused to hear my case due to missing this hard deadline. I was not able to move forward with any of my findings or objections. Working with Morgan turned out to be a very costly waste of time. I was charged roughly $14,000 for services and documents ultimately rendered unusable because my case was filed with the WRONG court.  I'm not sure how anyone can justify such a ridiculous fee after their error forced the judge to deny hearing my case. Morgan neglected to represent me ethically or professionally. Quite frankly charging my account close to $14,000 for a mistake they made is immoral and unacceptable. I hired Morgan to help me. I did NOT hire her to further add to my stress or problems. Nevertheless, that is exactly what she has done. Here I am fighting to receive support for my children and Morgan adds insult to injury, taking advantage of a single mother of 3 young children, already struggling to make ends meet. I have written letters to Akiva Goldman about this situation to receive no response. This was the WORST firm I’ve ever hired.
