I have a pending ethics complaint against James with numerous audio recordings of him violating the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct. Youtube links will be provided here once the ethics complaint is finalized. James is NOT a trial lawyer and will only attempt to settle your case. I have consistently seen public defenders achieve much better results than James. In my particular case he wanted me to plead guilty to a felony and told me that is best result we could hope for. When I told James I would like to proceed to trial, he berated me, telling me that I was passing up a great deal and pressured me into pleading guilty. James was fired and I hired a new attorney to represent me. On 6/12/2023 the charges were dismissed. James charged me $7,000.00 for his "representation". When I informed him that he was fired he told me that he couldn't return any of the fee due to all of the work he had done. I then informed him that I have audio recordings of him violating the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct for legal professionals. When informed of this James offered me $2,000. (I have audio recording of this phone call also.) Do not hire James Blumberg under any circumstances if you are seeking someone that will fight for you.

I used to think Anthony Ho was a very good attorney but it seems that his ego has surpassed his abilities, or else he’s signed on with the police force. I’m not even going to go into the details of what was done I’ll just say it was completely unethical and intentional. I would think twice about hiring him on.

Find someone else. Didn't want to challenge a slam dunk case that was police harassment. Thanks to him I now have a paraphernalia charge for a CBD glass pipe. Worst choice ever made. Find someone else!

Michael McDonough was my public defender from Jan 20, 2022 to Apr 8, 2022 in Goodhue county Minnesota. I was being charged with violating a restraining order. I told Micheal not to discuss plea deals with the prosecutor. He discusses plea deals. He then came to me and HEAVILY IMPLIED if I brought this case to trial I would lose and that I should accept the plea deal. I fired him and I hired a new lawyer by the name of Julia Ziegler. The prosecutor dismissed the case not long after because the state had no evidence to prove any crime. McDonough is a awful lawyer who prefers easy plea deals instead of fighting the system. I would have been on a years probation if I stuck with Mike. If you're being charged with a computer/restraining order related crime do not trust mike with it because he does not understand anything about that area. I'm unsure if he even believes in the 1st amendment

Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. We needed something done in a timely manner and he far exceeded our expectations. He got things done quickly and was extremely easy to contact and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend and use again.
