Kelsey law office in Cambridge, MN stands against freedom of speech. No matter what your political affiliation is- you have the right to stand on public property with a sign and talk about your beliefs. You can not block an entrance or impede traffic with a permit which we were not. We were standing on public property- the sidewalk along Hwy 95. The parking lot is behind us and we were not blocking any entrance for pedestrians or vehicles. They came out first to tell us to move because I was standing on the blvd between the parking lot and sidewalk on the landscaping while rocks setting up my American flag. I apologized and corrected my position immediately. They then told me that they did not want to have any affiliation with a political side. I responded that I understood, thanked her for letting me know and started that it would not happen again. She walked away. Then she and a man told another person in our group that they were going to call the police because we were blocking their right of way. We were not blocking any entrances or driveways- there were 7 of us on a public sidewalk and standing single file 6ft apart. The sidewalk we were utilizing did not lead to their business. We had only the signs we could carry so there were no signs on their property. I responded that they were welcome to call the police because I have already spoken with the police two weeks before to alert them of our march but the rest of our group did not want to cause a scene or get anyone upset. We moved down the road as our goal as a group is to promote peace at all costs. They were extremely agitated by our waving American flags, and democratic and pro-women’s rights signage while waving to passers-by. We must have looked like a menacing bunch. ☺️ This company does not support the freedoms of this country and is a law firm that does not comprehend how the law works in such simple matters. A simple google search would have them looking less anti-American. Support democracy! Go USA!! Thanks to Kelsey for letting us know where not to do business very easily.
