Felt respected and heard. Was pleasantly surprised to get almost immediate and comprehensive response from Bill, regarding how to sign potential RE documents. A couple of follow up questions were equally responded to.

I just have to say Jason Brown represented me well 10 years ago when I went through a tough divorce. I needed him again for a child support modification and he was there. Super caring, honest, doesn't play games. Highly, highly recommend.

I had an extremely positive experience. I had a difficult situation with two elderly family members with no will or children. William Huefner took time to explain everything he recommended and get everything in order for us in a very timely fashion. They were both home bound and William did a tele-conference for us and helped get all paperwork complete so we had their wishes documented. Everyone at the firm was so helpful and kind as I had to sell their home and make final arrangements. I highly recommend BGS!

My original attorney went on leave shortly after I retained her. The attorney that took over my case was awesome. When my attorney came back, they forgot to e-serve opposing counsel and my case was almost thrown out. I was charged for their mistake, even though it was stated in writing I would not be. The Judge on my case made a huge mistake and when I brought it up, I was told there was not much I could do about it.

The lawyer I worked with at Barna.Guzy & Steffen was very knowledgeable with the issues I needed help with.William Huefner did a good job with my family issues ,now I sleep better with no worries.

James David Hoeft is one of the rudest, most unfriendly and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with (in any context). He exhibits extremely "bullying" tendencies, where I suspect his technique is to intimidate citizens so they will not contest any citations. In my case, I knew there was a mistake made (which was proven true and the case was dismissed). Mr. Hoeft would not even allow me to explain anything during both the Zoom hearing and the in-person hearing. Instead, he abruptly cut me off both times, and used intimidating and threatening tactics (using the term criminal and "you want to take the risk, huh?" in reference to a jury trial). It is very unfortunate, because his tactics could very well cause true harm to innocent people. In my case, his intimidation did not work, but I think others may not end up being as fortunate. In summary, unprofessional behavior by any lawyer in any circumstance and these behaviors should not go unnoticed.

I have had nothing but a positive experience working with this law firm. I have used this firm on two separate occasions in the past two years. Our needs were handled by Attorney William Huefner. I can honestly say he has never left us hanging whenever we have reached out to him. He is always quick to respond to any calls we have made to him. The tasks we hired him for were delivered quickly and efficiently. Any questions we've had have always been answered in a manner we could totally understand, straight and to the point. Due to our personal experience, we would highly recommend Attorney Huefner.

Bill did a very good job for us. Bill was prompt in responding to our questions and he took the time to thoroughly explain all the paperwork that we had to sign. The original attorney I paid $3,000 to retain was great. She went on leave very suddenly. My "replacement" attorney never once called me to introduce herself, answer or return my calls and wouldn't honor the payment plan I had with my original attorney, then tacked on another $2,000.00 with no documentation of services rendered.
