This office is a disaster. It took forever to complete a simple interfamily land closing. I had to follow up on all the details to ensure that my wife's name had been added to the deed, to make sure the payments had been made. There was more issues, but I recommend if you have an alternative choice in the town of Fergus Falls to use it. And to my point....It took Chad Miller 2yrs to respond to this review.

A simple land closing took 9 months to complete. Seller chose Mr Miller as lawyer and informed us in July that paperwork was with lawyer. In October, we were told he still had paperwork, but we should hear soon. The week before Xmas we got papers to close Dec 31 and due to blizzard we closed Jan 2. Paid seller in full and paid all lawyer fees for seller as agreed upon. Were told we should recieve deed paperwork in the next week or 2. Mid February, we were asked for a signed copy of land survey, which we dropped off the next day. In March, after never receiving the deed, i went every week to recorders office to check if property was recorded, it wasn't, then went to lawyer's office to find out the hold up. I was tossed a few bread crumbs that seller needed to pay taxes before land could be split! None of this was mentioned at closing. 4 times I had to go to recorder, then to lawyer's office. Finally on April 8, the land was recorded and we recieved our deed. This was a simple sale for a small piece of hay field. No structures, no water, just grass. There was no communication as to the hold up, no explanation of property not able to be split until taxes were paid by seller at closing. They knew all this and said nothing except we would see the deed in a week or so. This is inexcusable and bad business. Chad was a nice enough guy, but I will never do business with him again.

Never met the guy. Showed up at the time i scheduled my appt, was informed they had me down for a different time which they put in wrong because I am not able to do appts that late in the day due to my schedule. All it would've taken was a simple "I'm sorry the scheduling got messed up" but no, i left and within 15 min he called me and he placed blame on me. Very disrespectful. Your office made a mistake own up to it instead of placing blame and losing clients

Chad Miller formed a new limited liability company and assisted me in working with Becker County on rental storage units that I built. He continues to keep me informed on any new changes to the law.
