Strange that other debt collectors constantly send calls, emails, letters, and generally will do whatever it takes to get their money, yet these guys haven’t done any of that for me! I didn’t even know who owned my debt until I received court papers, then a few days before the court date I FINALLY received a letter stating who they were and how to pay. They would’ve had their money much earlier and with much less effort had they only communicated with me. And even then, I initially proposed an offer as instructed by the letter, which was never followed up, then I just decided to pay in full, to which even after sending an email to THEM I still can’t get a response! So I just have to leave it up to pure faith that I even did the right thing. It’s incredible how little effort they will put in to receive money from someone just bending over willing to pay it. I pray for any poor souls that has to work with these people, let alone can’t afford to pay their debt. It’s almost like they simply get off from inconveniencing people more than actually getting money. Debt collectors, without the “collect”. If it wasn’t for everyone else’s complaints, I would have thought it was a scam because even their website and payment page just seems so dated, their listed email has done me nothing, and the “contact us” page endlessly loads. Im still extremely insecure about who exactly I just paid. Just incredible!

Important!! If you get any kind of county assistance, you can (and absolutely should!) fight back against gurstel! If they come for your money, send proof of county assistance to them, and they cannot garnish you. Technically, (just talked to county worker, who has experience in collections!) If you tell gurstel you have county assistance, its on gurstel to verify it with the county! Gurstel does NOT play fair folks! Scum of the Earth, bottom feeding crooks! They have never sent papers to my current address, pretending to be a step behind me, when really they were always a step ahead. They got 2 judgments passed on me, and I have no clue who they served papers to, cuz I never saw them!?! Someone at an old address I guess, which i thought you have to serve papers directly to the person? Sounds kinda illegal, according especially to that county worker i talked to today! Leeching my bank account to $0.00, 2 weeks before Christmas!? God Bless am I right?

Paying a debt is never easy. They worked with me on what I could afford even when it took me 3 years to pay it off. They were lenient when I couldn’t pay on time. I am happy to say I made my last payment today.

Horrible representatives, they dont want to work with cusomera to resolve issues. Phone reps have no idea what they are saying, and give out wrong information.

We agreed on a settlement payment and I have been paying it to the agreement but they lied and continue to sue me bringing it to court. I called them about it and two representatives told me not to worry about it because it shouldn’t affect me Since I been paying it on time. Trying to get a hold of them but their phone numbers are now disconnected and no sign of getting a hold of them.

This law firm is not very competent. I just got a packet in the mail from them with someone else's case included in it!!! Extremely unprofessional and isnt there a confidentiality law of some sort?!

Never, EVER, under any circumstance work with this company. While they are listed as a legitimate business, they are the sketchiest company to ever work with.
