My father was recently sued about a debt that my mother had before she passed away. It occurred almost exactly 7 years ago. They froze his bank account and my siblings bank accounts which he is on. However, his only income along with my siblings is social security. My dad because he is disabled and my siblings are revising it due to my mother’s passing. We filled out paper work multiple times claiming their money was protected. But this law firm seemed to just ignored that. After the accounts were frozen our banker was lovely enough to try and help us deal with them. The continuously were hard to contact, everyone told us something different, and they would often say they could not read the faxes that had been sent. If you can’t read a fax then contact the number on the cover letter to have it sent again, idiots. Overall, this is the most incompetent bunch of lawyers I have ever encountered. I hope that they hire someone with a brain soon. Or ask the wizard of Oz to grant them some brains.

Felt very bullied into paying a certain amount that I told the man I could not afford to pay. Horrible people to work with and seems like they have ZERO sensitivity training.

These people need to get their stuff right. Today I had a collection rep lie to me and tell me they could sue me if a debt was older than 7 yrs. In my state that is past the statute of limitations, so please Gurstel before you go making empty threats please educate your collection reps a bit better. Even more interesting this debt is nowhere on my credit report... so there is no valid proof I owe this debt. I'm not going to pay something I DO NOT OWE!

Would give less stars if I could. Every time I call, I am on hold or transferred for a minimum of 10-15 minutes. When I asked if I could be Cc'd on correspondence because phone calls weren't getting me anywhere, they refused. Mailed information to the wrong address even though I repeatedly gave updated information. Never faxed a form to the bank. ALL I am trying to do is resolve my issue, and they have repeatedly made that as difficult as possible.

After rebuilding my credit to a “socially” acceptable level, along came the wage garnishment. I was in an OIC with the IRS and scheduled to have cervical spine surgery. They asked me for proof, sent it to them. I was denied. Lol, silly me, they knew I could do nothing about it legally do to the OIC. I’ve made 3 settlement offers with the most recent being today I offered them 13000.00 on an original debt of $3000.00 from 2005 that they jacked up to 15,500.00, they respectfully declined. So now they will get the $3770.00 that they have garnished and I will head off to BK court. Sad it had to come to this, but I guess it’s their loss, check mate Gurstel Law
