I hired Steve Ledin to file a lawsuit against two different individuals. Before I hired Steve however, I told Steve that I didn’t think that either one of those two individuals had any money for me to recover from. Steve told me that he checked them out and said that they had property for me to recover my losses from. Steve also told me that they would want to settle rather going to court. He also told me that I should receive my money in just a few short months. Steve said that I would have to sign a retainer agreement and give him $5,000. He said that any other expense would have to come from the two individuals.
Well long story short, Steve requested that I give him another $10,000 before he finished my lawsuit. I wasn’t really fine with that because it contradicted what he told me from the very beginning. I finally won my lawsuit and Steve told me that he did his part now and it’s up to me to recover my money. Again, not what Steve told me from the very beginning? So I try to recover my losses myself only to find out (After I spent thousands more) that neither one of those individuals have a dime to their name.
I filed a complaint against Steve Ledin with the Lawyers Professional Board but they told me that I didn’t provide them enough evidence. What more evidence do they need? I provided them with 5 pages of evidence. I don’t know what more they want. The Lawyers Professional Board finally told me that I should seek an attorney for possible a legal malpractice against Steve
