I reached out to Amber Johnson, Esq. to handle a complex criminal defense legal matter this year (2017). On top of dealing with this case, I had mountains of work, civic, and educational obligations that were weighing on my mind and demanding quite a bit of time. From the moment I consulted with Amber, she stuck to the facts, was very accommodating, professional, and eased all of my anxieties with her knowledge of the law, legal approach, and her overall demeanor. She explained the facts of the case and the law in terms that I could understand - which was very helpful. Additionally, she kept me up to date on court proceedings and the direction that she was planning on going, as it related to my case. At all times Amber was there to answer any questions and she continuously eased my anxieties about my case. After a couple court proceedings and her requests for discovery, which the prosecution was having difficulty producing, Amber remained very steady, calm, and professional with the delays from the prosecuting attorney which extend my case a couple of more months. My case was eventually dismissed, in large part to her legal approach. The prosecuting attorney made a point to come out in the hallway, where Amber and I were debriefing after court; to let me know that my case was resolved in the manner that is was in large part to how Amber’s court room demeanor, specifically how she interacted with the prosecution and the judge in this matter. He mentioned, "She was very polite, patient, and exercised understanding throughout the court proceeding, some attorneys don’t do that and that often changes the outcome - you have a great attorney." I wholeheartedly agreed! I would add that Amber is an extraordinarily bright, emotionally intelligent, and strong attorney who never wavered in my defense; she can certainly be tough if necessary as it relates to defending her clients. She possess the uncanny ability to read a situation, the individuals involved, and adjust her approach to meet the needs of her clients without allowing emotions to dictate her behavior that may have a negative impact on her clientele or her professional reputation. Amber Johnson was a very informative and helpful lawyer; I would recommend her to anyone of my close friends or family. Amber was great! She helped me with an innocent owner vehicle forfeiture and was my boyfriends attorney for his DWI. I would recommend Amber to anyone.
