Going through financial problems is obviously not easy. Nobody wants to admit defeat. Before coming to Kain & Scott I went to a different lawyer and actually gave him money to do my bankruptcy. With him I received little information and also was given a stack of papers to figure out. It stressed me out and confused me in an already stressful and confusing time. I didn’t recieve the support I needed so I went to Kain and Scott after a simple google search. I set an appointment with Kelsey and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. They have you watch a informative video in a private and comfortable room before your consultation to prepare you for the consultation. It really helped me with understanding the whole process. Kelsey was very nice and personable and they walk you through the whole process and make you feel extremely comfortable. I was really happy with my experience and I wish I would’ve gone to them sooner. What’s done is done and the only way to move forward is to face these things and I’m glad I did. Sometimes in life we need help and this is exactly what Kain and Scott do.... the original lawyer I went to didn’t specifically specialize in bankruptcy so his level of service couldn’t touch Kain and Scott’s. If you are unsure about what you should do or feel trapped get a consultation. It was professional and pretty painless.

When they say that they are the nicest in Minnesota, know that it is the absolute truth. Nobody feels good about filing bankruptcy but everybody we have worked with has gone above and beyond to support us and make it as comfortable as possible. Margaret Henehan was extremely easy to talk to, and she answered every question and addressed all of our concerns. I had a picture in my mind of what a bankruptcy attorney looked like and how we would be treated. Margaret was not anything like I imagined! She is a very inviting, relatable person while being incredibly intelligent and knowledgeable of the bankruptcy laws. The cost to file bankruptcy was a huge concern for us as we obviously had no money. It was much less as we thought and Kain & Scott have an extremely flexible payment plan available. Getting the ball rolling is really easy and convenient. They have multiple locations to meet at, and they can communicate via telephone, email, text or anyway that makes it easier for you. I want to mention a few people from "behind the scenes" who specifically helped us in many ways: Stephanie Buerger, April Murch, Brandi Babatz, Brittany Miles, Callie Frank, and the guy on the phone. I forgot his name but the phone guy has helped me multiple times from questions to adding a lost creditor to trying to help find parking at the courthouse... He is AMAZING! I could literally go on and on about Kain & Scott, Margaret, and all the wonderful people who have helped us through this moment. The point is, dont wait. Dont hesitate. When it was time for my appointment to meet with the attorneys I was scared and very nervous but after I got there they were very kind and considerate but most importantly they didn’t pass any judgment about me and what I was going through. Highly recommend this law firm. It’s a tough spot to have to go through bankruptcy but, Kain Scott is excellent in taking care of you. Misty is amazing, calm, and very helpful in many ways. She was my ROCK as I have an anxiety disorder. Without her by my side I don’t know what I would have done. Highly recommend this Law Firm over the other one we interviewed by a long shot.
