My issue didn't actually make it into the courtroom, I needed someone to advocate for me from a position of having experience with the law. And I needed someone to negotiate for me, who was not emotionally attached to a situation and would be much more capable than me maintaining a level head while speaking on my behalf. Which are definitely qualities that a good criminal defense attorney should have. Mr DeMarco has what could best be described as a bulldog attitude concerning litigation. Aggressive, determined, and possessive of a personality that is charismatic, but carries an air of menace. which is thankfully directed towards his opponents on your behalf. His partner at the time Jorma Cavaleri was also quite skilled. Very deep thinking, verbose, and jovial. They actually complimented each other quite well as a team. At least personality-wise as I've said my matter never made it into a courtroom. Just the same they did manage to secure victory for me. And if you are considering hiring him as an attorney, you could definitely do far worse. And considering the amount of potentially displayed when I met him 12 years ago I'm sure he's done nothing but improved tremendously since then. You would do yourself a disservice by not at least contacting him about a consultation.

My husband was facing 7+ years in prison, Alex worked tremendously hard on his case. Alex advised us on resources to use like a phycological evaluation, classes, chemical dependency evaluations, etc. This was a very scary situation that we were in and with Alex's hard work and determination my husband went from 7+ years in prison to a plea deal with up to 7 years of probation. I cannot thank Alex enough for everything that he did for us. If you are looking for help and guidance you cannot go to a better person than Alex.

I had a complicated case that dealt with an OFP given the fact that I live outside of the U.S.A. Mr. De Marco handily prepared for the case on short notice (less than 15 days), and put my mind at ease with references to actual Minnesota state statues. During the case he handled himself professionally, and got a dismissal of the case because in no small part to his references to Minnesota statues, and previous similar cases. I recommend this lawyer, if you want a fair shake at winning.

He came to see me while I was in jail had a consult and I hired him. I was instructed not to talk about what really happened and not under any circumstances talk to the jail staff or inmates or my visitors about my case. He delivered as promised and I'm a free man enjoying my family and my freedom because of the wonderful services he has provided me. I reached out to Mr. De Marco for a consultation with a domestic assault charge. Mr. De Marco emailed me back almost immediately and set up a consultation phone call. After explaining my situation to him(and going well past the one hour time frame we had agreed on for our consultation) Mr. De Marco provided me with a wealth of information. Sadly, Mr. De Marco was unable to represent me but made sure I had all the tools and knowledge available to me going forward. Thanks to the assistance provided by Mr. De Marco I received a very favorable outcome in my case, and I could not have been happier with the results, and I highly recommend Mr. De Marco.

Alex Demarco was recommended to me by a friend that attended the same university as he. After our initial phone call and subsequent meeting,  I felt confident that he was the right attorney for me. Receiving the contract with the wrong client name and agreement terms, should have been my first clue that although Alex says (and quite possibly believes) all the right things, his attention to detail and ability to deliver falls short. Over the course of 7 months, my experience with Alex was wrought with one excuse after another. Here are just a few...("My sister-in-law is in the hospital." "You've caught me at a pretty horrible part if life at the moment." "Sorry, I was so sleep-deprived from jury trial." "Understand i have a murder case that's absolutely occupying my time here.") Initially,  I was sympathetic to his plight.  But eventually,  I came to the point where I just wanted my lawyer to represent ME (his client, who incidentally paid in full upfront). That, and his adventurous Facebook posts didn't seem to jive with the excuses he was giving me. In the end, it took Alex 7 months to obtain a simple video from campus pd, and that took me riding him the entire time. Although incomplete evidence was eventually supplied to him, Alex neither questioned/followed up it, nor did  he return any of my attempts to contact him further. I regret 100% my decision to hire him. Given my personal experience,  I'd recommend steering clear.
