The best thing about working with Katherine was having the feeling that we have our matters in order. She helped us understand by walking us through scenarios until we found the one that would benefit us best. I feel comfortable now and that would be a reason why I would recommend them. She is patient enough to go through things with you until you understand. I feel that she was thorough, approachable, friendly, and patient. When we interjected with questions she would always take the time to ensure we understood the process. I really appreciated that. Overall they were professional and timely. Once we met with her I liked that she took the time to get to know us to gain an understanding of where we were coming from. Some places dive right into the business end of things. I appreciate that she took a little bit of time to get to know us.

Katherine is very knowledgeable in the subject matter, which is will and estate planning. She did a nice job putting everything together and keeping it neat and orderly. She made it easy for my wife and me to understand. She made recommendations on things that we hadn’t thought about, as we weren’t aware of them. She saved us from potential errors, significant time issues, frustration issues, and potential tax issues. Everything was done in a very professional way. She was accessible, and her communication skills were great. The best thing is that we could relate. She communicated in a way that we could understand. She was very efficient and organized. I first met Katherine at a University of St. Thomas alumni event where she was on a panel discussing financial health for women. I was intrigued by her presentation as I I hadn't really thought of estate planning at my age. As a single woman in my mid-30's who owns a home I didn't think that I would need a will. Boy, was I wrong! Prior to and during our consultation, Katherine provided me with forms to fill out and information on my options. Her responses and our discussions were very detailed and informative. I met other lawyers in the office and they were also extremely friendly and very welcoming. I feel informed and confident that if something happened to me, everything will be taken care of. I highly recommend Katherine and Jeffrey Scott & Associates.

Jeff was extremely knowledgeable, we both enjoyed working with him, and his price was reasonable. What more can you ask for? Jeff Scott prepared Living Trusts for us, POAs, updated Healthcare Directives and other accompanying documents in January 2015. I’ve worked with 3 other estate planning attorneys in the past and this was my best experience. Jeff really listened to what we wanted to do, raised some excellent points and offered sound advice. Being a business owner and parents to two young children, my wife and I felt it was prudent to plan for the worst case scenarios. My experience of working with Jeffrey was very positive. He was recommended to me by a friend, and it was a good recommendation. Jeffrey had experience of Canadian estate law, which was very helpful for my situation. He helped me to effectively understand and distribute some Canadian property that was not dealt with in my grandmother's will. Being that this firm specializes in wills and estate planning, it was a no-brainer to work with lawyers who specialize in this area of life. They executed this process to perfection in an easy-to-understand, practical and sensitive manner, which if done in any other way, could be intimidating and even scary given the nature of planning for ones disability or death.
