Don't pay these folks up front. A week after I hired them I regretted it, but tried to stick with them because of the bloated fees I'd paid up front to avoid the 29.9% financing rate. The people I worked with were patronizing and dishonest - like lies of omission, as in refusing to answer straight questions, as in making misleading statements- every way that you could describe a lie- or a refusal to tell the truth. Most of the the communication I had with them involved them lecturing me about how I was supposed to communicate with them- I would have loved to have understood how they wanted to speak to me, but they while they were consistent with the lectures, they were inconsistent with the methods. One thing they were very consistent with was the self-promotion and that was even more stressful because I frequently wasn't sure if the people I spoke with knew I'd already hired them- or maybe if they called themselves "aggressive trial experts" enough times I wouldn't notice all the stuff I was forced to figure out on my own- from pretrial conditions, to occupational liceses, to how and when to get to court (its called Webex and its online) These folks were exhausting and they frequently left me in a lurch and made a difficult situation so much more difficult. Trying to hack through what dumb lie was important and what wasn't was too much. With a big staff turn over I really had to confront the fact I'd wasted a year and 1/2 with people who if you could actually get in contact them managed to avoid answering the most basic questions. Its important to remember if you have a case you need an attorney for- your case, because its YOURS- not theirs. People in need of an attorney- we will be punished for a mistake we may or not have made and we will be punished for what ever mistakes our attorneys make- without understanding the law, our lawyers mistakes will be our mistakes. The courts are extremely adversarial and a screw up is a screw up that the attorney can shrug their shoulders at and move on. This law firm makes money either way. To these people your case is a game they may or may not feel like playing. I started over again with a different firm. There was no refund from the Kim Benjamin law firm and no explanation for what I'd paid for.

What an amazing experience with this firm! I didn’t even bother to call anyone else after the nice conversation I had with Kenny LeBlanc. He had me when he mentioned New Orleans with regard to my last name. Great outcome on the case! Dismissed without much involvement on my part. I didn’t have to show up at all. Couldn’t have asked for a better all around experience. Thank you so much!
