Great to meet an attorney that really seems to care about helping people and making their lives better!!! My mother is 77, and we are looking for a place for her to live as she moves in to the next stage of her life. She was concerned, because she felt that her debt was beginning to overwhelm her, and that her Social Security would not be enough to find a place to live. We spoke to Mr. Jeppson about a potential bankruptcy to help her, and he was able to advise her on next steps. He did NOT charge her for the consultation, he was very honest in telling her that he did NOT think she needed his services at this point, and let her know that he was here for her if and when she did need him. Then, he suggested some next step for her, and what he thought may help her in this next stage of her life. Thanks Joe!!! When I started this journey I was very apprehensive and nervous. This was my first time ever filing for bankruptcy. Two weeks before I was due to have my youngest son. I had lost my job and couldn't afford to keep my car, my house, had an eviction filed on me and it went straight to my record. I was devastated. I was having difficulty finding a place to move to, my children and I were living out of a motel and something had to give. I went to Joe with all of my problems. Was completely honest about everything and how I ended up in this predicament and I needed to get out. I needed a fresh start and fast. I had children who depended on me and living in a cheap motel wasn't cutting it. He told me what he could do and gave me options to go other routes with bankruptcy. I decided to go chapter 7. He gave me a very very affordable fee and worked out an easy payment schedule that wouldn't interrupt my mommy duties. Once we spoke with the creditors regarding my debt, the process took no more than 2 minutes, literally, but Joe and I spoke before the meeting and he told me everything that was about to happen and to just be honest about everything. If they ask you a question, give them an honest answer and before I knew it, my bankruptcy was done. Yes, that fast! If you don't take anything from my experience with bankrupcy and my experience working with Joe, understand that things sometimes happen that are out of our control and although it may seem scary and a bit overwhelming, you want to have somebody in your corner every walk of the way before AND after that knows the ins and outs of filing for bankruptcy and Joe was that somebody for me. He's very professional and understands that sometimes people make mistakes or things happen that are out of our control and never makes you feel like you were at fault. He simply just wants to do what he can to help you get back where you want and need to be. He was able to do just that and more. Over all, I am extremely pleased.
