I live out of state and needed to hire an attorney licensed in Missouri who could represent me. Not knowing quite what to do, I searched AVVO for attorney reviews and came across David Barrett. I called and spoke with him for quite a long time where he advised on legal issues, next steps, and really bridged that gap on what I didn't know but needed to understand. I was very pleasantly surprised when he proactively emailed me about things he discovered or additional insights he had. He even agreed to talk with my husband to reiterate what he and I discussed to alleviate my husband's fear of the unknown as well. I've worked with many attorneys over the years and never, until David, met someone who truly cared about keeping me educated and informed and answering the "stupid questions" I would pose. Relationship building at its finest. I would highly recommend you call David and see if he is the right attorney for you and your situation. He is a trustworthy guy and ridiculously engaged with your case. 5 stars for sure.

David always answered my questions and concerns quickly. He was extremely knowledgeable and always one step ahead of me. I never had a problem getting ahold of him. He was reassuring in his answers and made me feel comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone.

David Barrett did an excellent job representing me in an expungement of an arrest. At first, I thought the case would be simple, but it ended up with a few unexpected twists. David handled the issues with ease and professionally. He was positive, but he gave a fair assessment of my case. He did an excellent job in court. I hired David roughly 2 years ago to help me with expunging some old arrests and he did an absolutely incredible job. The best part of my experience with David was that he is an attorney that actually answers my phone calls, is very easy to get in touch with, very friendly and easy to talk to. I really feel like David beat the odds as my expungement was actually and "rarely" opposed by the attorney generals office of the state of Missouri. Despite this and many other set backs he successfully came through on each and every expungement in total winning 3 for 3. In Missouri there are literally few if any attorneys through out the state that specialize or have experience in expungement law as it is such a newer statute. However David is very knowledgeable and experienced in not just the law but in reasoning and speaking with the judges and prosecutors in a way that helps them push the expungement through. If you meet David you will instantly like the guy and I think that is a huge strength in his ability to win cases and influence judges in difficult matters that could easily go either way. If your looking for an excellent attorney David Barrett is your man. Last but not least I can honestly say that my life is forever changed for the better because of Davids hard work and skill as an attorney. If it were not for David I would still have some serious embarrassing arrests on my record that would prevent me from working in the finance industry which is highly regulated. As a result of my cases being expunged I can now enjoy peace of mind knowing that some decade old youthful indiscretions are forever behind me. This would not have been possible if it were not for Mr. Barrett.
