07/07/23 (Update #1) 2 STARS: Mr. Watton reached out to me regarding my review below. He helped me make a plan right away on what would help me best. He was very kind, patient and understanding. I appreciate him reaching out to me so quickly to help me deal with an already stressful situation. I have an appointment scheduled with Mr. Abernathy next week. Hopefully he actually attends this meeting as he’s just not been present for my last three scheduled meetings. Two without calling to reschedule. Mr. Watton assured me that Mr. Abernathy will be there. I told him if Mr. Abernathy shows up (and hopefully is more professional) that I will change my review to a better one considering he’s trying to make this right. For now I will give them 2 stars for Mr. Watton taking the time out of his evening to help me and make this right. 07/07/23 (original review) 1 STAR: My initial call was with Mr. Watton. That seemed to go very well. He explained everything to me and was patient with me as I’ve never done this before and am very nervous. My next call was an overall consultation with Mr. Abernathy who seemed to show zero sympathy towards my situation. I came to a decision on what I wanted to do. Then, called to schedule an appointment. A week later I get a call on the day of my appointment to tell me there was a “scheduling conflict”. I said that was fine and rescheduled. I never got a call. No call to reschedule, nothing. I took time off work to be able to answer the call. So, I called to reschedule again. I was supposed to get a call today. Nobody called me. Not to reschedule. Not for my scheduled appointment. Nothing. I am frustrated, because this is an already stressful situation after a battle with cancer. I liked Mr. Watton. Then, ended up with Mr. Abernathy who just didn’t want to give me the time of day. I guess I have to do business with another firm even though I already did my consultation and everything. I was ready to move on to the next step. So, now I have to start over with a whole new firm. I give Mr. Watton 4 stars. Mr. Abernathy doesn’t even deserve 1. The receptionists were also always rude. Pretty much only Mr. Watton was kind and professional and I didn’t even get to work with him.

For it being my first time having an attorney Grace has made it feel like a walk in the park! Thank you Stange law!

For a consultation, the experience was less than satisfying. Michael Watton was not sympathetic to needs. Will be going to a different firm where they don't talk about being in a big fancy office with a fancy suit🙄. Attorney words, not mine
