I normally don't post reviews but having noticed a bad review of Matt O'Connor I am compelled to add my 2 cents worth. I found Matt to be articulate, knowledgeable, insightful, and most of all an individual whose every focus involves his sense of justice and empathy for people. I have never known him to be distracted or mentally muddled. His demeanor is one of confidence and he will champion a righteous cause to the end without hesitation or uncertainty. I've recommended him without a single reservation.
Personally, as I read the bad review, it strikes me as an attempt by someone who felt slighted when he respectfully declined their romantic advances or something like that.
I think his history as one of KC's Top Ten Highest Rated Attorneys several years running speaks for itself.

I called to get a quote on speeding ticket removal and Mike answered the phone. He told me the price was $100. I had to ask for more information such as if there is a court fee and what the process is, he did offer it. I then stated that $100 is a bit high and as Iwas in the process of asking if that was a set rate he hung up in my face the moment I said it was high. I was trying to ask if that was a set rate considering that I read the other reviews and saw that Ms. Shaw said that her prices are very competitive but I wasn’t given a chance. I immediately called back and asked why he hung up in my face and he said, “I apologize but have a few people in front of me and once you said it was too high I thought we were done.” I told him I was still speaking when he disconnected the call. While he did apologize it doesn’t make up for the action. There was no reason to hang up the phone on a potential customer. I received another quote for only $20 less and called this firm solely because Ms. Shaw is the same ethnicity as me and I try to do business within my own community. Sadly, this is my second attempt to try and get services from this firm. I called over a year ago and spoke with a woman on the phone who over talked me and was sarcastic in her tone. Due to her tone I decided not to obtain services. Now, a year later the same thing has happened. Ms. Shaw, I listen to you on the radio and appreciate the legal info you share with the public. However, both times I tried to get assistance from your firm I was handled in a rude manner and as if my money wasn’t good enough. I get your not Wal-Mart and I am not taking anything away from your value as I’m sure you do a good job with your clients, but the people on the phones are the 1st representation of you. All too often when we try to do business with within our own community they treat us rudely and blow us of as if we don’t matter. I was actually looking forward to having you help me with this matter but I hate bad service. I wouldn’t of minded paying the $100 fee had he not been so rude to me. I too work in a place where I have to answer the phone and give prices and I would never belittle a person as Mike attempted to do to me. It’s so unprofessional. Please talk to your staff and be sure they are the best representation of you.

5 stars for the receptionist alone, he's so fine. He looks like the Great Value Mekhi Phifer lol He's also very knowledge and accommodating. They were patient and clearly explained the process. And Mrs. Shaw is hilarious.
