I was referred to Mr. Sternberg for a special appeal situation and he made me feel comfortable. Everything was over the phone and by email. For not meeting him in person, he was very thorough, calming and he knows his stuff!!! I would recommend anyone to his office!!!

He is an amazing lawyer. We got the result that we wanted and he kept us very well informed during the process. He got us our rights back and it was worth every penny. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Jonathan for an appeal.

I was fortunate to have been referred to Jonathan to represent me in a maintenance/alimony issue from a divorce more than 15 years ago. Jonathan represented me in the appeal of my divorce judgement. He was ultimately successful in protecting everything originally granted to me by the trial court. During each stage of the appeal, Jonathan advised me of the process and the steps he would be taking. Our main correspondence was via email, and Jonathan always responded promptly. Jonathan knew of my strained financial state as the payment of my settlement was stayed until the conclusion of the appeal. As such, he only completed those briefs and responses which were necessary in order to keep his billable hours to a minimum. His briefs and responses were timely, well-researched and immaculately prepared and written. Jonathan was a consummate professional. What stood out the most to me, though, was his kindness and compassion for my situation. I approached Mr. Sternberg after my son was sentenced to seven years in jail as a result of a road rage incident. Though my son was the driver raged against, he was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault. My son pleaded guilty because he felt that he did injure the individual and had spent 20 months incarcerated without a trial due to Covid. Everyone involved, my son, the lawyer, me ... all thought the sentence handed down was excessive, we expected the sentence to be time served and probation. I requested that Mr. Sternberg provide a forensic analysis of the trial proceedings and then represent my son if the trial or sentencing phases could be rehashed. Specifically, Mr. Sternberg was very thorough in his assessments, honest and forthright in his strategies and suggestions regarding our possible next steps. Though his analysis pointed to some mistakes by previous council, those mistakes were not egregious enough to warrant vacating the guilty plea and sentence. With deep regret, Mr. Sternberg laid out our options and we decided not to chance a trial that could result in a much longer sentence. The point is, Mr. Sternberg could have easily convinced us to return to trial, he would have been paid significantly more money, regardless of the outcome. But I trusted his advise as did my son ... Mr. Sternberg was sympathetic, caring, intensely committed and most of all, truly professional.
