I had put it off for far too long. After getting married, having kids, and getting bogged down in the daily grind that is life, I woke up one day realizing that if something happened to me, my family would be left behind to pick up the pieces all on their own. I needed to have a plan. I knew nothing about wills, trusts, or estate planning in general. It’s part of the reason why I kept procrastinating. Just like you are doing now, I had begun searching online to try and learn more, and of course the results were overwhelming. There’s was a lot more to it than typing up a do-it-yourself will, I couldn’t take the chance, I needed help. When I found John Rommel, we were able to meet virtually. No need to drive to an office or take time off of work! Together, we worked out a plan based on my budget and how I wanted my family to be taken care of if the unimaginable happened. It’s not an easy discussion to have, I get choked up thinking about my kids not having their dad around. There were some tough questions and some real soul-searching, but it’s totally worth it now that I have a plan in place. One thing I really liked about working with John is that this isn’t a one-and-done experience.
