Ryan is a nice guy. He was very pleasant. He also failed to get me any kind of meaningful results. It was extremely difficult to get a response from him, and if he responded to an email wherein I asked him seven questions, he would likely answer three of them and ignore the rest. He seemed to have a game plan, unlike some other attorneys I might mention. The problem is that he seemed uninterested in pursuing any additional strategies which other attorneys have confirmed are worth incorporating into my case.
My ex likes to invent new rights and rules, ignoring the parenting plan unless it seems useful in harassing or threatening me, and Ryan failed to prevent this at every opportunity I gave him. I feel like Ryan shut me down and shut me out, collected a paycheck, and ignored me to the best of his ability. I get the sense that he's probably a nice neighbor and he's certainly very affable, but I spent a small fortune on him for the protection of my family from my abusive ex and I got virtually no results. I don't believe he wanted my business at all, based on his lack of responsiveness, unwillingness to consider building a comprehensive case with multiple sound strategies, apparent unwillingness or inability to protect me, my wife, and my children from my ex wife, and failure to achieve any results while slowly burning through multiple retainers.
If I have anything to show for the massive debt I incurred on his retainers and my ex wife's own ability to make my money disappear with phenomenal efficiency (from which he repeatedly failed to protect me), it has entirely escaped my observation.
Ryan's a nice guy and I wish I could honestly post a better review, but this is what happened, unfortunately.
