Hired Skinner for my divorce and paid $3500 up front. I thought it was going to be good. Well when it came time after a year to finally get something done he just wanted to rush it. He told me to give him everything he pretty much wanted. I did just that with the property stuff but I was not about to do it over my kids. So I got what I wanted with my kids. My ex went back and modified the custody and skinner said the same thing about just giving my ex what he wanted all because I moved 2 hours away but yet my youngest is 2 and has no reason to not be with me every other week. I have the email to prove it he said just give him what he wanted. I instantly knew then I needed to fire him. So, I fired him and hired a new lawyer. Since my lawyer had continued court twice already not due to my fault at all the judge wouldn’t continue the court date. I thought skinner had filed stuff with the court already on my behalf, but nope nothing was done and my lawyer had no way to back me up since he didn’t have enough time to prepare. Skinner use to be good, he has recently lost his touch and honestly can’t keep up with the clients he has. So, unless you have more than $3500 I wouldn’t waste your time. He’s only worried about money and not the best interest in the clients or the children involved.
