Was given false information

Worst lawyer ever. Accepted money for several months, his bank account remembered the case but he certainly didn't. Talks like a used car salesman, lied about what plea he was entering with the judge and gets you to sign a document by explaining exactly what it isn't. Tricked my family member into taking a plea for something he didn't do. We constantly reminded the Mike Hanson of this for 9 months, even in court. The plea deal was offered months ago and we turned it down. Instead, Mike takes your money for as long as he can, then figures out how to make his life easier by being slick. Enjoy the money, Mike.

Mike pulled out of the case upon sentencing after waving the preliminary hearing (unproffessional). Also made a one year treatment sound like an option when a 20 yr sentence was imposed. Mike is unknowing in his field and has been referred to as a joke by reputable lawyers.

This is the worst attorney I've ever used! Not only rude but does nothing! I gave him $500 3 years ago as a retainer, just handed him money and left. 3 weeks later he had done nothing so I asked for my money back. Earlier today I went to get my money back after calling for the last 3 years I decided to go to his office with my receipt and ask for my money ($500) and remember he did absolutely nothing! He screamed at me and told me to get out of his office! When I said I'm not leaving until you give me my money he screamed I'll give you $100 just to leave. I did not agree. Long story short he was acting like he wanted to fight me and only gave me $200 of the $500 I gave him!!! A real jerk! So beware this sneaky snake man he will take your money, do nothing and then scream at you all to get less than half back what you paid! Ridiculous excuse for a lawyer!!!
