Emily is the most compassionate attorney I have ever worked with and she always has her clients best interest at heart. She may tell you something you don't want to hear but it is because it's the truth. She will not lead you to believe something is possible if it is not.

Excellent service

I hired her to rep my daughter to help with a state child support review case, to make sure it goes through, and she tells me to "lets do it another way so that you get more fixed then just childsupport. I didnt agree with that way but, trusted her. Turns out after the states review was dismissed like she wanted. Within a week the other parent then filed for modifcation and child support which caused that parent to be the petitioner now. She also helped get a case dismissed prior to that because the other parent lied and took the child for 3 weeks age 3 and there was a parental plan in place but when i said to have the other parent pay for my lawyer fees she said " I wouldnt go there if i were you. So the other parent did not make up for the damage he caused like counseling for the child and make up time. She will not remove herself from a case even if she will not represent you properly, she will help the other parents lawyer win because she believe hear say from that lawyer. Now my grandchild is 7 and suffers with abandement issues that are from age 3 all because she didnt help by doing her. But through it all God is incharge for protecting his children because my daughter is in criminal justice so she can help good parents not lieing parents protect their children from abuse of the court system " TORT" even if they dont have money. God is putting my daughter through this unjust so she will be His lawyer that has integrity and does not listen to hearsay from the other partys lawyer, and, will not make deals with other lawyers to win or lose a case. Watch out

If anyone within this area needing legal assistance I can not stress enough that these are the ones that you want. They absolutely know their business and can get it resolved. Thank you, Kent—Moreen—Lance—and Emily for all they have helped with. Once again a very big Thank You The thanks was given but in return I received a very very cold shoulder after over 20 years of friendship that I upheld truly and honestly. To bad I couldn’t say that on everyone’s behalf but I don’t speak for others!

In the 3 years it took to get my divorce, I spoke with Ms. Guffey only 2 times on the phone, and the first time was to discuss payment. We met on the day of court. Any time I called, her paralegal would answer every one of my questions with, "That's an attorney question." But I never received an attorney answer. After my divorce was final, she added more than $3000 to my billing which had a balance of only $300 the day of court. I feel as if she worked for my ex and his attorney. She didn't present one thing in court I asked her to, and did not refute any of my ex's testimony. I would never recommend her! I thought a woman attorney would work harder for me because I am a woman, too, but I feel like she threw me under the bus. And 3 months after the divorce is final, I'm still waiting for finalization and division of assets and property which should have been written into my papers...a common practice of lawyers to prevent this kind of thing. But, Ms. Guffey wasn't working in my favor. Terrible attorney. Would not advise hiring her!
