Jay helped me to navigate through a difficult custody/ child support case and an order of protection case. He was diligent and professional. I would recommend time and time again! This is probably the second review I have ever given, so bear with me...but Galmiche Law Firm deserves it. So, here is my experience. Sorry for the length. I worked with Jay Galmiche to resolve a child custody situation that was against a particularly nasty person. It involved 2 motions to modify with mediation in between, and it went all the way to trial day lasting 18ish months. Jay's experience in family law is extremely important. He has lived this work for 30+ years and it shows. Be a good person, be honest, and he will guide you through. I am divorced from a person that lies to an extreme, which is incredibly hard to stomach when trying to create the best future for my kids, and Jay was always available to talk with about my options on how to handle each situation when they came (and there were many). His quick response helps put practical legal logistics in play rather than the heavy emotion or anger associated with uncertainty. He knows his business, and he will be clear about what your choices are while letting you know which are worth taking. This process will be expensive. I am not a wealthy man, Galmiche Law Firm understood this, and they were always up front and clear about costs. This includes whether or not certain legal actions such as filing contempt or obtaining certain subpoenas were best for me. Each step of the process was handled carefully clericaly so there were no setbacks. If you are forced to go down this road...good luck. Try to stay calm and rational. All said and done I have found relief with a good outlook on the future knowing that my kids lives are now better because of the legal work done. Thank you Galmiche Law Firm.

I highly recommend Jay Galmiche as a divorce attorney. I just concluded a lengthy, difficult divorce and he was terrific throughout. Calm, professional, competent and thorough. At times when my ex and her lawyer were doing everything they could to drag things out, Jay helped me stay the course. Jay was responsive to my concerns and always kept me fully informed. His advice was spot on every time. He was conscious of the amount of time things were taking and did his best to keep costs under control. Most importantly he listened to me. He was very clear when he thought I might be conceding a bit too much, but he listened to my reasons and he respected my decisions. Fortunately we didn’t end up in court, but I was fully confident about the outcome if we had. He’s also just a genuinely good person - I always felt like my best interests were his primary concern. His communication skills are excellent and the office staff is terrific. When it became clear that I was going to need a lawyer, I was deeply worried about getting a good one. Now that it’s all over, I can’t imagine going through it with somebody else. I feel like I couldn’t have made a better hire.

I used Galmiche Law Firm, P.C. from day 1 of starting the divorce process and unfortunately had added on legal problems involving a step child.
