My identity has been stolen due to the breach of sensitive information. Two tax returns have been filed in my name. A student loan has been taken out in my name, and an attempt to finance a car was made in my name by someone residing in Florida a state I’ve never lived in. Worst of all the funds from the fraudulent tax return were loaded to an emerald card in someone else’s name. How does H&R Block miss something like that? How does $23,000 in federal return in one person‘s name be loaded to an emerald card The H&R Block debit card offered, that has Another person‘s name on it entirely. Because of this, I have to jump through several hoops To file a paper return for the three years that were stolen from me, and although I can prove the Returns to be fraudulent it will still take a year or longer before I receive any of my rightly deserved tax return money for three years of tax returns. Additionally, the student loan taken out of my name now is causing me to push back my masters program so that I can resolve the fraud Filing with FASFA. I also am needing to finance a car and won’t be able to do so likely anytime soon Covid was bad enough, but this is pouring Salts in the wound. I filed several tax returns with H&R Block There should there were so many red flags that they should have caught according to their identity protection I pay for with each But their idea of identity protection is a complete farce!
