(THIS IS REVIEW OF JUSTIN LAMAR MASON, IS BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH HIM AS MY ATTORNEY.) I am writing this review because I felt that it was my civic duty to inform anyone that is possibly looking at hiring him on, but might have some reservations about it. Personally, I’ve never met an attorney who did as bad of a job in his profession as Justin Lamar Mason. I believe that Justin looks at potential clients as a dollar amount, and isn’t primarily concerned on if he has the legal capacity to handle their specific case. I feel that Justin will say anything to convince potential clients to write him a check, but once he becomes the attorney on record, his whole positive outlook changes. In the beginning when he took my case, both him and I went through the Officer’s Arrest Report together. He consulted me, and told me that my case was winnable. However, not that long after my first appearance in court with him did his whole demeanor change. Even though there was no new evidence provided to him by the prosecution, he started saying that my case was now not worth fighting. I was confused because the only evidence the prosecution had provided to us at that point was the same arrest report that both him and I went through together at his office when we first met? He did not feel the need to conduct a deposition of the arresting officer, or requested any additional evidence, that would be standard procedure for any competent attorneys. It seemed clear to me that his true objective was to get me as a new client, while doing legally as little for me. To this day I am still surprised on how Justin got through law school, because there is no way he had passed classes like Legal Ethics, because he showed none during is tenure as my attorney. Justin failed to inform me on all the necessary information I needed to make logical decisions on my case. He failed to file legal documents in a timely manner, which created problems for later attorneys hired to fix those issues. And at no point did he ever take accountability of any mistakes he caused. I had no idea of how bad things were until after I removed him as my attorney. Justin blatantly gave me misinformation over the phone, and then later denied saying he did whenever I confronted him about it. The attorney I hired after Justin provided me with very efficient service and results that I could live with. After my case was done, I filed a formal complaint against Justin to the Missouri Bar Association, in which they found enough evidence for his mismanagement of my case to find him responsible. If you have any issues with Justin Mason, I encourage you to remove him as your attorney, and file a complaint letter with the Missouri Bar Association. Moreover, make sure you keep detailed notes about any discrepancies you may notice, as well as document the conversations you have with him.

Justin is a great advocate for his clients and makes himself available outside of normal hours.
