10/10 - Couldn’t have pictured a better scenario. Whenever I had a question about a process or a document, I would reach out to the team and received a response right away. The questions were explained to me throughly. I really appreciated that, because I don’t like to be in the dark about things. Especially these important issues that require a lawyer. Every decision I made with the team was comfortable - in a sense where I didn’t feel like I was guessing. This is important to me because I wasn’t stressed or overwhelmed and I didn’t lose my composure emotionally. Everything flowed smoothly. Communication is a 10. I trusted this Firm completely because they proved to me that they had my best interest in mind. I worked with Amy on a child custody case. We were on the same page from the get go and were able to get the best resolution possible. Everything was very reasonable and very fair. I highly recommend this firm to anyone and everyone. Prior to filing for divorce, I consulted four to five law firms. All but one, inattentively and carelessly assured me of things that I would get in a future divorce settlement. When I finally found Marks law firm, Jonathan asked me what I was looking for in a lawyer. My reply, a lawyer I can trust. After being swindled by Cordell & Cordell to the sum of $16,000.00, (they maxed out my credit card dropped me because I no longer the funds). And after having to represent myself, I lost in court. I suffered for many years after my divorce paying an amount to my Ex-wife which was beyond reasonable. After 35 years of government service with the DOD and supporting this country I love so well, I wanted to retire but couldn't because of the extreme amount of maintenance I was forced to pay by the courts ($2,300.00 a month). Then by the grace of God, I found the Marks law firm. Divorce is never easy. There is a lot I did not know. I was fortunate to find Jonathan Marks after looking at some quick searches on the internet. None of the internet searches left me with any confidence. With the Marks Firm, once I told my story I got the relevant information and all my questions were answered. I selected them because they actually listened to my situation (compassion matters). At no time did I feel like I was left in the dark and The Firm and Staff were very responsive to my questions. My work life was not interrupted as a result of the process. It took 6 months to go through the entire process (ending a 14 yr marriage). My case was less complicated than most, with nothing to divide and no kids. I am very lucky. Having a trusted outside party really does help to speed the process and let the healing begin. Jonathan and Amy have impressed me immensely. They are very knowledgeable in family law and take great care to build a professional and trustworthy rapport with their clients. They also maintain great communication; making you confident and secure every step of the way.
