I am an attorney and also hold elected office in St. Louis County. In 2017-18 the Prosecuting Attorney for St. Louis County assigned a special prosecutor to bring a case to remove me from office for allegedly violating the County Charter. Jonathon was(is) a fantastic atternoy! He fully understood my concerns and worries with my custody case. My ex and I were together 12 years but we’re not married. Since we were not married custody of our children was handled a little differently than those cases with parents being married. My ex was not a willing participant in filling out paperwork that took over one year and four court dates (somewhere rescheduled in summer continued) due to the fact he was not prepared. Jonathon fully understood my frustration and stress level. He worked with me every step of the way to ensure what I was asking for was priority. I can't say enough about Mr. Marks as an attorney and person. I really owe my life and freedom to Mr. Marks. I was in an awful situation which was complicated by untruthful legal matters from my ex right before the Christmas weekend. I reached out to Mr. Marks for the first time on Christmas weekend and he dropped everything to help me out of an impossible UCCJEA situation. Mr. Marks prepared and filed all the paperwork first thing Monday and because of Mr. Marks, the untruthful matters were squashed as a direct result of his amazing skills as a lawyer and kindness as a person.
