Our attorney Katherine was amazing in telling us the ins and outs of what we needed done. Explained things in layman terms so we could understand what needed done. She was very patient with us. The staff at the Joplin location was very friendly and accommodating. We will be returning customers when the need arises.

I took my elderly parents, both of whom have dementia, into Ozarks Elder Law to protect them and their assets. This was the biggest mistake of my life. I had medical documentation that they were incapable of managing their own affairs, activating my power of attorney we paid handsomely for. They allowed a relative visiting from out of town to walk in to their office with an 81 year old dementia patient, "revoke" my POA, go to my parents bank, withdraw their life savings in cash and hop on a plane to Seattle. WHY DID I TAKE MY PARENTS THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. DO NOT TRUST THIS FIRM!

She was professional and friendly, directing us to the document we needed to meet our needs. After my husband passed away recently, I met with Mel Myears to make sure I had everything in place so my children would not be burdened if I was ill, incapacitated or if I passed away. Mel was very knowledgeable and understanding and listened to what my concerns were. She explained everything thoroughly to me and executed the documents I needed. I also know that if I have any concerns later, she is just a phone call away.

Our experience with Ozarks Elder Law was a huge bill for small amount of time spent with no results in the end, except making the situation at hand 10 times worse. I would not recommend them. They come in strong making you believe that something can be done, only to find out that nothing can be done. A waste of time and money.
