I was very open to engaging his services. I have means where my S/ O doesn’t. Needed a consult on a parole violation. And potentially other matters. He was out of office. Spoke with a female who took the pertinent info down. Said he’d likely call or at least they’d set up a consult in a few days. I had to remind her she didn’t take my number before we hung up. It’s been over a week. I called and got a male phone answer. (Think he must hire an answering service). I explained I was still waiting but to take me off his call list. I got an excuse about a family emergency. Good save on part of the receptionist. But I believe it’s bogus. He didn’t care they were losing business no we are very sorry, here’s what we’re going to do. I’ll be sure to call a “top Lawyer” instead. When it’s a legal issue it can’t wait a week. He certainly doesn’t appreciate that enough to hire staff or an answering service that can follow up proactively to tell you he can’t get back to you. One thing that makes any consultant or professional of value is letting you know your needs are important to them. I would never engage his services if he can’t get even his first contact right.

Felt very lost Seems like he didn’t want to take the time to explain exactly what it was I was supposed to be pleased you did not take into consideration as my kid or is it the thousands of dollars that I spent him and because I I didn’t do a plea he quit got an attitude and told me that he was wasting his time I don’t think that was very good professional etiquette

A friend of mine met with multiple lawyers over an issue he was having. All the other lawyers named the same angle as my friend, and their approach. Mat gave him a much better idea that mafe more sense immediately. Not one of the other lawyers thought of this angle. If i found myself in trouble? Mat would be my first call.

Stevenson Law Office... Mat Stevenson and his team are the ones you want to defend you! They are there to protect you form our society of Guilt to proven innocent. After 3 long years and a lot of financial loss due to the "Prosecution Claim" I was referred to Mr.Stevenson by a very good friend, he was willing to meet with me free of charge for a consultation on a Sunday we spent 4 hours going over the discovery that I had gone over with the last 2 attorneys and 3 years. I had plead guilty week before (Via a plea agreement) awaiting sentencing suggested by one of those other attorneys. Mr. Stevenson had open ears listen to all of it! Was able to get the Guilty Plea reversed and was not going allow me to take the fall. His persistence of my innocents and the law after 3 years during Jury selection the State Dismissed the charge! Then things got even worse, in one case, which had appeared a pretty open and shut case, He ended up never attempting to fight the case and the prosecutor had changed the plea deal in the last minute, consequently doubling my already unusually harsh jail sentence, fines, fees and disappointment. The next case was much more important considering I was facing a felony. He had me thoroughly convinced we could get dropped to a misdemeanor. So when he told me that even if I had gotten it dropped to a DUI, it would be my 3rd charge resulting in a felony either way. Well as Montana's codes and statutes apply, Interestingly enough, it turns out it is in fact 4 Consecutive DUI's which constitutes a Felony. So I ended up getting a felony when I had expected a DUI, and got an extra long sentence for a min. cutoff THC DUI... This case occurred in 2013, and sadly enough I'm still on paper after getting my probation revoked. I chose to let the state appoint me a Public Defender in that case, I've been fairly pleased with him overall, next time I've already decided ill be the one to represent my corporate fiction.

At first glance, my case appeared to me to be fairly simple. As the evidence poured in it was anything but. Mat spent countless hours researching and talking with detectives and the prosecutor and stood by my side the whole way. I felt it necessary to write a review of the service and professionalism I have received from Stevenson Law Office. First off, let me say. ..I am 100% sure that I would be serving a 10 year prison sentence at this time if not for this team. I was very guilty of the crime I was charged with and it was not a winnable case. I was told by 2 different public defenders that there was nothing that could be done and I needed to come to peace with my fate and serve my sentence. Now understand, I did not need innocence or guilt argued. I needed a strong and understanding attorney to argue my sentence and convince prosecutors that prison was not the appropriate sentence. This took due diligence on my part to find a very strong attorney that could handle a burden of this level. Almost every attorney I spoke with, after looking at case facts, told me they could not help me. Mat Stevenson looked at this case and understood exactly why prison was not the right option. He took the case and negotiated tirelessly to show prosecutors why they needed to revisit my sentence. I have never seen a attorney that was able to negotiate an unwinnable case that has no leveraging against prosecutors to argue for a reduced sentence. That said, Mat and David did exactly that. I did not serve 1 second in prison and won't. I needed the court to see my perspective on my case and no attorney was even willing to try. Mat took on this case and from day one, began to show the court why my freedom was appropriate. Mat is beyond skilled and extremely knowledgeable. He has saved our family and our future and I highly encourage anyone facing a serious crime to not risk your freedom and immediately hire this team. I can tell you that money was a very small amount of this team's motivation. I obviously paid them, but not nearly what the few others that were considering this case had quoted me.
