My experience with Cada, Cada, and Jewson, acting on behalf of a debt collector (PCR), was extremely disheartening. Rather than engaging in a good-faith effort to resolve the matter, they seemed solely interested in pushing the collector's agenda with no intention of settling. I spoke with Doug, who blatantly lied, claiming to have called me multiple times when, in reality, he hadn’t. It's absurd to think that such tactics can pass as professional conduct. As an academic business professor, I find it deeply troubling that the current legal system allows debt collectors and their legal representatives to get away with questionable practices (they subpoenaed my mother-in-law, overall acted like a big bully), and in other states, such behavior would never be tolerated. It’s only a matter of time before this approach catches up with them. I ended up paying an extra $80 plus my debt since PCR is collecting court cost fees for the Zoom motion to trial I attended with Judge Reuter (Courtroom 21). Unfortunately, I lost the focus to fight this battle, but I sincerely hope someone will have the energy to push this fight to the end and set a legal precedent. All in all, there's a lot of shady business going on to collect debt with no room to suggest the original firm (Gastroenterology Associates of Nebraska and Lincoln Digestive Health) did anything wrong. These two firms or entities are considered one at the time of practicing, but two when billing. Also, the firm gave a colonoscopy that should have been free but cost a fortune. It's crazy that a one minute change in the doctor's office's practice lead to this huge headache. PCR decided very early on that they were going to take me to court, probably because they saw my good credit. I hope you are stronger than me and can fight them to the end.

Filled out online form. No answer after period of time. Finally sent email saying it would be a good business practice if you would respond. Jewson finally responded and said she would check on some things and get back to me. Well that never happened. Go figure!

They filed for a judgement against me in an entirely different County that had zero jurisdiction and brought my ex-wife into the matter who I've been divorced from for 7 years. Shady! These people are ethically immoral!

What these guys don't mention in their bios is that they're bottom-feeders just like their clients such as "Professional" Choice Recovery. Like far too many others, they very conveniently believe that exploiting a legal/court system for their own personal profit is perfectly fine, like a constitutional right. But just as Jesus rebuked tax collectors, there's supposed to be an actual "value system" which has far higher standards than those that have been molding our legal/court system with only their interests at heart, due to a total lack of Integrity, for more than 200 years. "Our" lawmakers need to close this back door to shameful profits, if a lawyer or law firm can't make enough profits from doing professional work, they should have enough dignity and self-respect to avoid exploiting the court system to go after people with a lot less money than they have. Being Bottom Feeders, isn't a respectable profession. I think Nebraska's small claims court system is decades or more behind many others. Since many people have to attempt to defend themselves, due to attorney costs, we need to be able to make our defense regardless of, and without lawyer tactics. Such things as trying to get a Summary Judgement in small claims court is just a dirty tactic to keep the defendant from defending their position. Of course, it's very likely that the attorney handling small cases is trying to impress the owner or senior partners and probably has to prove to them that they'll do whatever it takes to win cases for their client. In fact I suspect that lawyers put that into their supposed ethics rules, rules I'm pretty certain they created for themselves, again with no consideration for The People. They have a lot more work to do on ethics, they're far from done. It's been proven over and over again that people are far to narcistic to make their own rules, especially in a system that's supposed to be For and By The People. It's my impression that the Nebraska small court system has been routinely granting Summary Judgements, which means the defendant is prevented from telling their side. It very clearly shows that our legal/court system is for and by lawyers, and definitely not For and By The People. In fact it's extremely pro-lawyer, the people looking to become wealthy as lawyers, which is why they choose the profession. The interests of The People were never considered because that would have a negative impact on lawyers amassing wealth.

Inside the place is a bit "run down". The attorney I worked with was aloof.

Scum lawyers trying to extort honest people out of even more money than the suit is worth on behalf of even scummier debt collectors on less than 300 dollars of life saving medical debt that they were given no notice to pay before being put into collections
