Working with Michael Merrick was a great experience. I am forever grateful he took my case and believed in me. He is very professional, knowledgeable, compassionate and assertive. While working with him, I grew to admire and respect him and his opinion very much. I could not have been in better hands. After going through one of the worst experiences of my life with a employer, I was lucky enough for him to believe in me and what I had been through. I never once felt he didn’t have my best interest at heart. Honestly, I don’t know how I would have ever gotten through the whole process without him and his expertise, knowledge and guidance. I never once felt I was all alone through any of it , he was always there for me and was just a phone call away. I had very little faith in our legal system prior to going through this. ***UPDATE AS OF JULY 28, 2020 Mr. Merrick contacted me with a follow up email saying he couldn't represent me. I thanked him for reaching out to me. While I'm disappointed he couldn't help me further, I received a referral which never worked out. But it was a step in the right direction.*** I contacted this law firm out of outstanding reviews. It took me a follow up email to get a response from him to fill out a questionnaire. I did so and sent it back. Two weeks later, I followed up again and he said I'd receive a reply shortly. That came and went. I finally emailed him asking for a referral, as he was obviously too busy to look at my issue and give me legal advice on how to move forward. I'm really disappointed because I really was hoping he would be able to help me out. One of the ethics lawyers must abide by: can't take on more cases than they can handle. Somehow, I have a feeling that one isn't being followed.

I am extremely glad I hired Michael to represent me. He is very knowledgeable in employment law, and handled everything with the upmost respect, professionalism, and most importantly honesty.
