I strongly advise against working with Darren Pekny and his firm. I was recently informed that documents that had a protective order placed on them, that he obtained, were obtained on a violation of Nebraska State Law. After learning about this unethical conduct, I filed a formal complaint with the Nebraska Supreme Court Counsel for Discipline. I am also exploring legal action to address this violation and unethical behavior. Unfortunately, this is not the only unethical behavior I’ve witnessed from Mr. Pekny and his firm. They have shown a consistent disregard for individuals’ constitutional rights, which is deeply concerning. I urge anyone seeking legal representation to look elsewhere for a firm that upholds the law and ethical standards. I would have absolutely no problem showing anyone proof of this. Please be smart and go elsewhere. Our justice system doesn’t need attorneys that are like this.

Jerry court hearings are public information. So you saying Unfortunately, your review does not present an accurate or fair picture of this firm is a dang lie because everything stated about your firm in the review calling you guys a circus and how Darren Pekny was embarrassed by a guy who doesn’t have a law degree and all your firm is filled with are money hungry jokes, is a very accurate statement and review and anyone can look it up if they wanted to. I believe it even stated you would try to lie to get people not to believe the review but unfortunately it’s the truth. I know for a fact your firm is more crooked than what was even said and unfortunately that information will eventually get out. Go ahead Jerry go have Darren tell the court about this like he did last time!!!!News flash Jerry the court won’t care just like they didn’t the last time! If I’m telling the truth about things nothing can happen to me and no one will care!

This circus is definitely not the place to go for an attorney especially if it’s Darren Pekny! If you’re looking to get a pair of big floppy shoes or a big red nose this is the place to go! Ethics???? Not in this tent! Morals????? Forget about it!!!!! Win the case for their clients????? Not happening!!!!!! Lying and Trying to ruin someone's life that doesn't deserve it???? YEP!!!!! They will do that! Being corrupt and having no ethics????? That's their greatest trick!!!! I was not a client of this corrupt place but this firm lied and helped keep my daughter away from me when I didn't do anything I was blamed for. I got proof to show that. I’m not an attorney and I have done a better job in the courtroom than this clown named Darren! He tried to tell on me for things that I have said to him like what you are reading now, just because he knows he’s going to lose. He knows that no matter what the facts are the facts but will continue to lie just to get paid. Darren has no problem taking money from someone, knowing he won’t win a case against a guy who doesn’t have a law degree. If you want to laugh then Darren is your man because he is definitely one of the funniest jokes out there! If you want to be robbed of all your money this is your man as well! Don't forget your popcorn when you come to this circus! Darren seriously is a complete joke and you will lose a lot of money if you use this firm! They will reply to this to try to get people to not believe me but honestly if you retain this law firm you will be losing money so go find any other law firm out there! Here’s Darren at his best in the courtroom “well your honor I’m new to this case so” when in fact he’s been on the case for 6 months he just knew he looked dumb and then I put him in his place right in front of the judge! FACTS!

People hear horror stories about awful representations and have experienced frustration, even anger towards their attorneys. I have felt this way about my previous attorneys who represented me in court in the past. But this time, I was fortunate to have met and had an attorney who stood by me, listened to me, understood me, and had compassion for me. Did I win my legal case? No, I didn’t. In family and divorce litigations, no one wins. The parents lose, and the child(dren) involve loses. No one wins in a broken family. But I want to highlight the service and representation I received from my attorney, Jamie Cooper. In my opinion and experience, I thought she was a phenomenal attorney! She is intelligent, knows the legal field well, understands the system, follows up, a quick thinker, and a rational attorney. I have made some suggestions during my legal battle. Jamie heard my voice, concerns, and frustrations. She understood where I was coming from. But instead of giving in to my every single request, she continued to give me wise counsel and led the proceedings the best she could for my good. Some of my observations about Jamie were that she has a good instinct about people. She spoke with our family therapist and used that encounter to guide our next step. It wasn’t what I wanted to hear, but I had to trust her instinct and counsel and believe she had my best interest. I am glad I did! She was wise with her instinct about her opponent- my ex’s attorney. That attorney was no match for my attorney, Jamie Cooper. She knows how to proceed with caution, aggressively, wisely, and rationally. One of the things I liked about Jamie was that she saw me as a person and a loving and good parent. She recognized my aching heart and my longing for my child, and my wanting peace with my ex. Jamie did not take advantage of me like other attorneys would, but I truly felt her sincerity representing me. Attorneys are perceived as heartless and money/power greed. Many attorneys do not have a good reputation. In legal proceedings, you want a wise attorney to represent you and be your voice. But clients also want an attorney that has a heart. An attorney that is still human who feels and cares. Emotional intelligence is also an important factor for me. Again, I was fortunate to have Jamie Cooper as my attorney, voice, and representative. Ms. Jamie Cooper is the absolute best and helped us through a tough period in our life. She went above and beyond my expectation. She informed us in every part of the process and advocated for us in an unprecedented way. I will go back to this firm and specifically Ms. Cooper services again.

Have used this firm for both LLCs I've been a part of. Mr. Johnson has been patient explaining everything we needed to know and Wendy has been prompt and attentive to our questions. Our paperwork was completed in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. We started with another attorney who was good but way too expensive. We also love they are downtown, close to home and work.

If you want a law firm that over charges and doesn’t take ownership of your case- please give this crooked law firm a call. I had an attorney assigned by the courts as a GAL for a custody battle in March of 2019- the attorney and the entire office withheld billing information for the duration of the case and truly did the bare minimum. I was never even given a chance to pay them or discuss billing until almost a year after the case was settled. During this time I was left to assume the courts were paying the remainder or I assumed even the $1400 deposit was enough to cover the bare minimum effort shown by the attorney and her staff. They have failed to provide me a receipt of billable hours, they were not forthcoming with their overpriced services, and they have used their legal proceedings and court relationship as scare tactics into getting paid more rather than discussing the services which they billed and “didn’t get paid for.” Small claims court denied the case originally so they have now hired another law firm to send certified mailings with threats of garnishment. My four attempts to discuss with the billing manager Jenny ended in her stating they can’t speak to me even after agreeing to email me my information to no avail. I have yet to receive an email with my requested information. The information submitted by the attorney in the courts used my exact verbiage from an email I had sent her. Her court report was plagiarized, which at the time benefited my family but now years later I am in a financial battle with them demanding additional monies. They will most certainly take advantage of anyone they can- they are one of the top 5 most hired attorneys office from Douglas county court if that doesn’t say it all. I would not recommend this attorneys office to anyone. I can go on but hopefully you get the point. I’m a huge advocate for the legal process and proceedings allotted to us as humans but when you get someone supposed to be on your side but appointed by the courts- you should know they are going to be deceitful, probably in it for the wrong reasons, and they’ll win because they do it all the time. Lesson learned the hard way.

Worst divorce lawyer I've seen, the case should have been a walk in the park. I would recommend literally any other lawyer.

I highly recommend Darren Pekny . He is a hard-working attorney, an excellent communicator, and always works diligently to obtain the best possible results for his clients. His professionalism and empathy for his clients make him a great attorney that I do not hesitate to recommend.
