Fathers and/or Military Members, please read what I wrote and consider Kelly Shattuck and his team! When I hired Kelly in early 2018, my life had collapsed. I am an active duty military officer and while I was out of town for a few months in Alabama, out of nowhere my wife filed Domestic and Child Abuse charges against me. I hadn’t seen her or my daughter in over a month, and all of a sudden there were restraining orders against me and I was under several investigations. My wife was trying to get my daughter taken from me and destroy my career and life and put me behind bars. As the military investigation concluded, the investigators began to realize that it was all a hoax, and that my wife was lying about a number of things. The day they cleared me was the day I found out that my wife was having an affair with one of her students married parents who also was a fugitive from the law. I spoke with lawyers in the military and they recommended that I hire Kelly. Kelly defended me from her bogus allegations and once we discovered the affair, we immediately filed for divorce and custody. My time in Alabama was up, and I had to move to Texas, but she still wouldn’t let me see our daughter as she was keeping her in Nebraska. It took almost 4 months, but with Kelly’s help, we proved that my ex was lying. I got my daughter 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. For the next year, I travelled tens of thousands of miles between Texas and Nebraska to get my daughter and bring her back. It was said that what I was doing as a military parent was impossible. That I could never win this case, do all this travel and get custody. As our trial began I moved to California. At trial, Kelly demolished the opposing counsel's arguments. He surgically attacked my ex and exposed her for the incredibly dangerous person she is to everyone around her, but most importantly our daughter. He also used one of his other landmark case law cases and Nebraska law to debunk her and her attorney’s attacks on the military. Kelly proved at Court that military parents deserve to be treated fairly under the law, and the state of Nebraska listened. 6 months later, the decree was issued. We won. My daughter was coming to California full time. My ex immediately filed multiple challenges. Kelly beat her every time. She filed an Appeal with the state. Kelly beat her and her new high powered attorney. It has been a long and grueling 3 years, but having Kelly in my corner saved me and most importantly, my daughter. Since this happened, my ex has been arrested and continued to engage in dangerous behavior. I can’t imagine where we would be without him and his team. I know a lot of this sounds mushy, but it is all true. My case was a nightmare that unfortunately had many dark and sad turns. Kelly navigated me through the worst time in my life, and he brought my daughter home to me. If you are military, please know that Kelly now has won 2 major cases in support of military members at the state level! He knows what he’s doing and he wants to help us and he’s proven that he can. Don’t give up just because you’re military! Call Kelly and ask him about the cases he’s won for us. You’re not alone, we’ve fought, and Kelly will help you fight!

Absolutely the worst attorney I have ever had, told me father's rights were better now and told me I would get more time with my child, also gave me a price of cost and it ended up being 10x more than what he quoted me for absolutely nothing , but my child support went up and zero more visitation. Would not recommend this firm to anyone. Hey thanks for NOTHING!!

Kelly was such an incredible attorney while working on my case. When I was seeking an attorney for my divorce and custody, I wanted one that was well versed on father's rights. Throughout the entire process, Kelly kept me informed and up to date on everything pertaining to my case. He was able to explain everything to me so that I was clear and understood. I would recommend Kelly to anyone seeking legal representation. The office of Vacanti Shattuck was an warm and inviting office. The front lobby area was extremely clean and organized. The receptionist was knowledgeable about the office and was able to answer any and all of my questions. If I ever left a message for Kelly, he never missed a message and would promptly return my messages. Kelly's paralegal was a huge help to me during the process too. If Kelly was unavailable she was able to answer my questions as well. The whole office operated in such sync that it was smooth process.

They really helped me out when needed. Kelly and Gina are amazing people to work with!!!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!!

Handled things and made them a smooth transition in a difficult time. Got all my stuff/custody and a fresh start to nothing but better things to come. If anyone worries about spending $ on a lawyer in a vicious divorce then go to leagal aid this man and Gina are worth there weight in gold.

Total rip off. I wrote a bad review a while ago and now it's gone. Basically they really messed up my divorce case. Find someone else.

It is a toss up on the quality of service.

The entire team at Vacanti Shattuck was instrument in helping me navigate a fair agreement in an amicable, but very complicated divorce. Including: shared S Corp ownership, shared properties ownership with renters, custody, inheritances, estates, etc. I highly recommend them!

During the hardest time of my life, Will and Chris supported and advised me beyond what I could have ever asked for. They were extremely knowledgeable and understood how to approach every issue that came up. This was the best decision I have ever made using this firm.

Very unethical and very hard to reach. I left several messages to get ahold of Mr. Shattuck to discuss my case and no response. I just left it alone thinking that he quit on me. Then after 6 months he charges my card for another $2500 and we never went to court? Not worth the $!!! Read the review about the mother of 5 below, I can contest the same exact scenario happened to me.
