Eric Hagen is the best!

This lawfirm was very professional and got the appeal to go through after many battles with the va. In the long run got my disability upgraded from 30% to 60%. I am very grateful.

I have been pursuing my claim for years after separation by myself and through advocates and never could get compensation. What an absolute nightmare. I initially contacted Berry Law because I was unable to locate my military records. I wanted to file a claim for an injury sustained on duty. I explained I wasn’t sure if the process, and didn’t have my records. I also explained I was willing to get medical exams or anything else needed before moving forward. Well, being naive to the process, I didn’t realize how important that was. My first rep filed a claim with no documentation, no nexus letters, and no diagnosis. Of course I was denied. They then told me I’m probably SOL unless I provide more documents. Even though I explained I was already in the process of doing that. Then, quite some time later they informed my my rep had moved on to something else, and I would be given a new rep. I spoke to him briefly, and he seemed sincere. Up until the point he apparently got activated and sent overseas. I was then assigned to a third person who started filing more appeals without proper documentation. Again I explained I was in the middle of getting more exams and records. During one of my many conversations, my rep slipped up and said they normally file appeals, then wait for the VA response, so they know what they need to address. Keep in mind that when you submit medical evidence and then have your claim denied, that evidence can’t be used again. You have to appeal with new and relevant data. It seems to me these guys are simply a VA disability mill. They just have a process for filing VA claims and know they’ll probably win enough cases to make it worthwhile. The longer your VA claim drags out, the more back pay they’re entitled to. I would suggest using a Non-Profit VSO or doing your own homework on YouTube. Berry Law strung me along for over two years with ZERO results and a lot of frustration. Look elsewhere to file a VA claim. I have no interest in speaking with you. You botched my claim. Lost my effective date and probably lost my ability to claim my injury. I wasted three years with you and my local VSO got my a small rating in three weeks. FU.

Mr. Hagen did an excellent job at representing me in my situation. Always professional, always available, and exhibited empathy. He did face some adversity while presenting my case and navigated it without hesitation. If you are in need of defense Eric and the firm are who you want.
