Wouldn’t recommend. AT ALL. Empty promises. Lots of grey areas. Was told maybe I’d sit 3 months (if I didn’t get probation), come to find out the night before my sentencing while traveling 8 hours for court, he said I could get sentenced to a year. DA tried to squeeze me, Dan didn’t help any. Ended up getting a year in Lancaster County for aiding consummation of a felony. My judge was on the bench for years. She’s a drug court judge. Nelson. I asked Dan what he knew about her. His response? “Not much”. Come to find out from the inmates I met and jailers I talked to during my sentence, that Nelson is the hardest judges in the courts, and has a rep for laying down the hammer. You see it in the court section in the paper every week! How can a guy who has done so many out of state I-80 cases say “not much” when asked what he knows about one of the most well known judges in the district court? Met literally dozens of out of state inmates who also got pulled over on I-80, all of which were pulled over for “driving to close”. Dozens of us pulled over for the same reasoning. Sound like profiling? A correctional officer told me during my sentence, the two sheriff deputies sit in I-80 all day. And all day they pull over out of state people for the same resining. You guessed it. Following too close. It’s a scheme in Lincoln Nebraska. Don’t waste money, get a public defender. There were a handful of out of state guys from I-80 I met in jail who had public defenders, who got charged with pounds of marijuana and more than anything I was pulled over with, who GOT THE SAME SENTENCE AS ME. This isn’t a hate review. This is the truth. If you get pulled over on I-80 you’re going to sit. I’m telling you, Lancaster County has DOZENS of “I-80 boys” (as the jailers would say)
