Olivia is wonderful to work with, helped me understand quite a bit for my custody case. Fingers crossed I won't need a custody lawyer again, but if I do, I'm going here again!

I did my meditation through Karen. She can be rude at times & made me feel like she was more on my ex wife’s side even though I am the one who called Karen to be our mediator. Anywho I wouldn’t recommend her.

I was referred to Karen Vervaecke for mediation and was horribly disappointed in her service and professionalism. When our first meeting was held it was verbally taking all my information over 30 minutes instead of using an electronic form to having sped the process up. Which usually should be done by a paralegal but instead was done by Karen at the cost of $300/hr. Secondly, at the next meeting she showed up 10 min late with a dirty fork in hand clearly coming from eating her lunch. After the mediation was finished, she refused to do the amendment for the 3 items we agreed up. I've tried working it out with her or her office and have had no success. I would recommend going with a different legal service if at all possible.

Karen did a great job mediating between myself and my ex-spouse. She understood my concerns and I felt she had the best interests of our children in mind. She did a great job of explaining my ex-spouses concerns to me as well. Very positive experience and I would absolutely work with her again.

Would give ten stars if I could. Olivia was helpful, compassionate, expedient, and most importantly did exactly what she said she would, when she said she'd do it, at every step of the way. Could not be happier.

The Thomas Anderson Law Firm is outstanding! We have worked with Tom Anderson for two different Family Law issues, and with Olivia Chick, also on two Family Law issues, all with wonderful results. Most recently, Olivia assisted us with resolving a complicated guardianship issue, which was confusing to us, and seemed a bit overwhelming. Olivia was very easy to work with. She helped with every question I had and was very quick to respond to emails. She stayed on top of my case every step of the way and did it in a timely manner with no time wasted. I would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with the same issue I was.

I had low expectations for mediation, I thought we'd end up at trial. I was very impressed with Karen, and would recommend her. We reached resolution without having to go to court.

If I could give zero stars, I would. She sat there during our mediation and didn’t mediate at all, told me I needed a therapist after I was tearful because I had just lost my family and was at risk of losing custody of my child. Made fun of me for wanting to leave separately before my abusive ex in order to keep me safe in the parking lot. Completely insensitive and rude, waste of $300 that we were forced to pay as a stipulation of our pending custody agreement. Does not help facilitate agreements between divorced couples, I feel she even got enjoyment out of us arguing at the table.

Karen did everything she could for me during my case and listened to the needs and desires of my daughter and I during our custody battle. To say she is phenomenal is an understatement at best. I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have towards her representing us during our time. She listened to what was wanted and offered guidance when I was being unreasonable in requests. My daughter was able to speak with confidence knowing that we were being represented accurate and that her best interests were being taken into consideration and accurately conveyed to the court.

I spoke to Karen there over the phone and she was extremely rude and showed zero interest in what I had to say. And as I was trying to ask her one final question she said "good luck" and hung up on me. 5 thumbs down for Karen and this place.
